guys.. need some help
just download cyanogen mod 6.1.1 thru rom manager..
after finished downloading that custom rom, i checked the box for google apps..
now it hangs at cyanogen mod screen..
what should i do?

Haha, that's what I thought too, bro... What do you think? 7 versions within a year... I wasn't in for 2 days due to Desire kidnapped by gf cos of AB and had to read like 10 pages to catch up.

So which ROM are you on now, bro? Am still on baadnewz and flashing the new update tonite. Looks good..

you are from what rom previously?did you perform clean install or just upgrade?

still ok la...try catching up in the camera section...lagi gila...

still on rcmix.. i rarely switch rom.. hehehe.. normally stay with sumthin until i get bored.. roughly within 3-6 month.. so we'll see what kind of rom we have in the next 6 month.. or if we're lucky we just ported to gingerbread lor.. hehehe..

previously im from cyanogen mod 6.0.1.. not sure wats a clean install means.. i just follow the instructions from rom manager.. sorry.. very newb here

3 - 6 months is a long time... I can only go 1 month so far but the baadnewz might just keep me longer.
I think we would get the Gingerbread sooner, probably like 2 months, if the stock ROM is out. Even with the SDK, AdamG has managed half of the porting to Desire.

Means wipe everything... you have that option in ROM Manager. Follow what tyja advises which are also in previous posts. Just do a search.

A week? haha.. the last month was like every three days change ROMs... Backup is now scheduled daily or a one click affair, so easy mah...

never tried using ext4 b4 cause using rom manager to do the partition...if wan ext4 one need to use like minitool partition wizard/gparted..mine got minitool maybe can teach this newbie...

how do u guys do a backup of the email,apps,sms, contacts, picture etc etc. before doing a ROM flash ? I realize the HTC sync dont have a complete back up function.

Care to shed some light ?

Im using the same ROM, no problem. The gmail and HTC mail icon is in the menu.
