- Flash RCMix HD rom
- Then flash SenseHD animation pack
- Then install Setcpu app & select "smartass" for a great battery saving performance
- Lastly u might as well just get the new Android Market! v2.2.6 to complete your "Desire"... hehehe

at last...jumped to AOSP rom...using OpenDesire...w00t!!!

guys, I flashed my htc to miui rom using amonra, after the flashing is done on the recovery, i clicked reboot system now, it then stucked at boot screen for more than 20mins. So i tried restoring nand which i backed up just now from my old micro sd. Its back to my old rom which is Leedroid.
So any idea why i cant flash to MIUI? i did wiped the data and dalvik cache, and made partition on my new sd card.
Im using PVT 4 - S-ON.

im getting slight headache with my desire..
i still couldnt figure out why my phone did not get any signal when i use gsm only instead of wcdma or wcdma/gsm auto..
n the battery could only last max 1.5 days with very minimal usage..
n today, the phone suddenly wont connect to internet.. i have 1gb data plan, n i've used about 600mb only.. no idea why i cant n wont connect..

- 1.5 days of usage is fairly good TBH. I am getting MAX of 2 days with everything stopped (inclusive of 3G connection) ever with the Desire

- Regarding the internet, i do, at times, have problem with it not connection to Mobile Network. What i suggest you to try, is go back to Settings -> Wireless -> Mobile Networks and see the description for the checkbox. Sometimes, it is listed as "Connection Failed". For whatever reasons, at times it does not auto reconnect. Just uncheck and check back the box and connection will be fine after that.

@Hazril - as usual, u hv been very helpful boss.

@izglory - i recommend u install Rom Manager apps & flash the new rom from rom manager. It's safer that way & less problematic. Just don't forget to update to the latest Flash ClockworkMod Recovery before u proceed.

@geniusboy - i envy u.. 1.5 is darn good enough for desire.. most of us cant even made it to the first 24 hours.. hehehe..

@djlah - i only tried rcmix and amazingly, its never force close till this point of time. crazy and highly recommended!

I have been using baadnwz ROM for awhile with no Data2Ext. Had a couple of FCs on first attempt but no more problem after reflashing the latest version. So far so good, except the obvious 720p recording problem.

i have oxygen rom in my phone ready to be flash...
problem is i cant restore my calendar entry and sms...flashed to leedroid last night,calendar can be restored but not my sms...i restored using TB...what could be the problem?

titanium backup have a known issue of restoring sms and some calendar entry too.

normally i use SMS Backup & Restore app for this matter.

im using auraDHD and so far, had couple of fc but now stable. but the battery consumption is quite high compared to miui or oxygen. how about baadnwz ROM, power consumption?

havent root my desire yet..

can you share the "battery use" details? might be the nice HD Sense take a lot of power...

@ramen241 - I have been on Baadnwz for a few days and battery is not much difference from when I was on RCMixHD. No FC's but most of the time, after flashing new ROMs and restoring the apps, I would repair/fix file permissions.

@hazril - awiekupo is right about TB. I had the same problem and just use MyBackup, especially cos you can view first what you want to restore. One thing that I found out is that TB will sometimes restore if you backup the apps + system data.

@djlah - awiekupo's right, RCMixHD has stablized and should be good to try. Only the 720p recording is not done. Everything else is good including HTCHub.

@tyja - Have you found the app to work your brightness, friend? I remembered Brightness Profiles that you could type in the figures for the brightness and create profiles.

@awiekupo - nice to hear you got RCMixHD stable, and I am hungry again...

Anyone updated to market v2.2.6?
