QUOTE(fidiacode02 @ Jan 1 2011, 08:25 PM) hmm.. thanx.. but still what the difference between those 2?? i didn't understand... sorry for the question.. basically both 550d and 60d are DSLR60d is the newer model with more features such as articulating LCD screen (i think 550d more of entry level while 60d is semi-pro/enthusiastic level depending on what you wanna do with the camera if you're into photography, a DSLR would be a great buy but all you want is to take some nice picture of your friends n family, a smaller lighter point n shoot camera is recommended if you're not willing to carry the extra weight of a DSLR This post has been edited by evilhomura89: Jan 1 2011, 08:29 PM |

A DSLR will give you really nice pictures only if you are willing to learn how to use it and will not depend on auto mode. But if you're not ready to take up the extra "responsibility", then a powershot would suit you best (powershot 1000HS, S95 or even the more advanced G12). It can serve as a learning platform (these models have manual mode which is similar to what a DSLR can offer) which might change your mind in the future when you're ready to go for DSLR.This post has been edited by evilhomura89: Jan 1 2011, 08:46 PM |

QUOTE(not nott boys @ Jan 2 2011, 11:53 AM) ermm.....sony?? sony btter than nikon or canon?? Why Sony not better or same level with nikon/Canon? You are comparing something which has to different feature and functions with its pros and cons.Added on January 2, 2011, 11:54 am its a new one..... In terms of value vs money, A33 would prove to be better compared to 500D. And it all depends on the photographer to be better, rather than the camera's brand. |

QUOTE(kalkulator85 @ Jan 1 2011, 12:20 PM) I WANNA BUY A DSLR CAMERA. SERIOUS BEGINNER.ANY OTAI IN JB?B UR ANAK MURID FOR FREE..HEHE.. use for 4k for d7000 I bet you wouldn't regret.Type of camera/lens/accesories[/B] : DSLR + LENS Budget: 3500-4000 Your Location: JB/KL Preferable brand : NIKON,CANON Type of photography u want to do : WEDDING AND OFFICIAL FUNCTION Any specific models in mind? : Any specific features u want? : but the price for d7000 is 3.7k - 3.8k for body only if you want the kit they will give w. the price tag 4.5k If I were you I will go for d7000 + Nikkor 50mm 1.8 the price will be 4k or 4.1k around there. I bet you will satisfy the control given by d7000 (the best prosumer DSLR in Nikon line up *the latest technology DSLR on nikon w/ HD video recording, 2 memory card slot, magnesium aloy body (usually used in PRO body), fast burst mode, anf freaking awesome 56 focus point (CMIIW))*) and 50mm 1.8 will give you a very good bokeh + fast focusing w/ a very cheap price ... Lol QUOTE(AderlineNg @ Jan 1 2011, 12:21 PM) Type of camera/lens/accesories : DSLR camera go for 550D I friend got it for 2,4k including kit lens. for D3100.Budget : below RM2500 include kitlens Your Location : KL Preferable brand : Canon or Nikon Type of photography u want to do : Landscape, Portrait and Video Any specific models in mind? : Nikon D3100, Nikon D5000 & Canon EOS 500D Plan to use it for long term.... if you are not good in bargaining you can go for 500d. but try to get 550D if you prefer Canon or d3100 if your prefer Nikon QUOTE(not nott boys @ Jan 1 2011, 01:01 PM) you can, just go to lowyat and do very nicebargaining. usually they will let their 1000d go w/ 1.4k but for the used set 1k is enough QUOTE(fidiacode02 @ Jan 1 2011, 08:13 PM) wanna buy a camera but can't dcide.... i'm still new in this.. so i'm not prefer to dslr since still noob I suggest you d7000 or 7d its' up to you.Type of camera/lens/accesories : dslr or powershot Budget: rm 4000 Your Location: kl Preferable brand : canon Type of photography u want to do : potrait n lanscape n movie Any specific models in mind? : powershot sx1 is/ powershot sx30 is/ eos 550d kit II Any specific features u want? : juz want a camera that can take nice picture n movie capture FYI d7000 own the latest technology in nikon line up with makes the rest prosumer DSLR looks less interesting for customer. Dear all, I if you found it doubtful to buy some cheapo DSLR. let me tell you something entry level DSLR will be always like that. not much difference offered. the only difference are HD or not HD <- if you are serious in move making, and yeah it still doesn't make much difference I have friend w/ d90 which is not HD camera but produce very good video AF body. usually Nikon doesn't give AF motor on its Entry level body (d3000, d3100, d5000) this makes your body unable to use lens without focus motor therefore you can only go for the newer lenses w/ most of them has focus motor. lastly megapixel, ISO, etc, etc <- this doesn't make much difference what makes much difference is your skill. if you doubt about your camera go to http://www.mylensdb.com/explore/ and browse what kind of picture your camera produce. so you will know the lacking things is your skill not gear. Peace.. Added on January 2, 2011, 3:10 pm QUOTE(chiahau @ Jan 2 2011, 12:12 PM) Why Sony not better or same level with nikon/Canon?
