Bro, top up abit to RM3K to get the 550D instead of the 500D. It's a damn good camera.
The diff between these 2 cams are worthwhile.
Or u might get the Nikon D3100, it's oso around RM2,400.

revision D3100 is Rm 1950-2100 <= pretty tempting price tag isn't it? hahahaha

Nex 3~

Quite light, semi-DSLR. Should be enough 4 your usage.

check on d3000, I don't think you will say that heavy, unless you are using BAZOKA lens.

Erm around 1.4k or maybe more. Garage sales is the way to go biggrin.gif

And as a sidenote, D3000 has no AF motor inside. Means if you intend 2 upgrade lens later in future, you need to buy lens with AF built in. Not worth spending that much for it. smile.gif

You said your budget around 2.5k wad. Add 200 get 550D lo. Win 500d n D3100.

Or better, you can get Twin kit A33 for that price, which can technically take out D3100 out of the pix. A55 can compete with 550D easily.
