I am asking for opinions from the pros here in lowyat. I want to create a blog about any restaurant that I've visit (I like to try new food and I guess that's my hobby, wondering around Malaysia and searching for any restaurant and hunting for mouth joyful) The problems is I dont know what type of camera that suitable for my needs. I mean, to capture the picture of food, the environment of the restaurant its require a good camera to capture a good picture to enlighten the ppl read abt my review for the restaurant. I only know the basic thing about camera which tekan butang and u got the picture, I dont even know what the ISO things mean.

I have several camera in my mind but dunno they are good enough. I hope all of the forumers can help me because I'm very200x noob in camera thingy THANKS!!

hurm.... Nex is better? Actually Nex series is one of my choices back then.. but after seeing the ergonomic design of g12, i become confused.
Nvm... So u re suggesting Nex because the excellences of low light capture ea... Thanks for the recommendation. I will consider that model.

in the end i bought a nex-3 camera... the reason why i dont prefer DSLR is bcoz of the bulky in size. I dont want to look like a tourist moving around here & there.
I believe nex series got the both of the DSLR and compact advantages.

In the end I picked Nex 3 as my choice.The solution is: Its depend on how u view the design of the camera and ur usage. Google and youtube is ur good friend rite now. I watched review by this guy from digitalrev and quite convincing

Reason of not choosing:
It's 'TOO COMPACT' for me. I am a big guy, so if I bring this camera around would not suitable with my size. Its too small and I think it suitable for gurl use or as present for ur girlfriend rather than a guy usage.

Reason of not choosing:
I like the ergonomic design of G12. I would rather pick this 1 at first . But its got too many dial which I might got confused later on as I'm just a noob in camera things

Reason of bought it:
I'm going to use the camera for food photo shooting. And Many review said that Nex 3 is very excellent performance in low light condition even without the flash. <-- (tested by me and suprisingly ITS TRUE)
And I like the panorama view very much

Yeap! both s95 and g12 lens are fixed. Nex series got the advantages of interchangeable lens. So, u will got the feeling of DSLR with the size of compact camera.
I took the 16mm. Somebody told me that 1855 is rather so-so. If u truely considering abt zooming better u buy the 18-200. but at the moment, the 16 lense is already enough for me. summore it kept the camera in 'compact look'.

I bought it from my cousin. He's upgrading his camera to DSLR.

The 2nd link got a good offer. 3 lens + 1 year more warranty. But u might reconsider the price. The price is already far off ur budget.
Or u should consider DSLR instead.
