Can't expect much since it was designed to suit the Xbox.

For some people like me, wrist rest is needed , and black widow doesnt give me that, the reason ppl will buy is cheap, if 6gv2 is at 299 blackwidow sales will drop.

Quality wise also quite bad, my imperator got problem from the. box 1st day when opened

I guess they decided to pass on this round's PC Fair as some of the new products might not be ready by then plus they recently just finished their annual stock take session so probably they might be sorting some stuff out as well.

I read somewhere that said with wrist rest for your keyboard, the chances of getting Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is lower.

I'm thinking of getting the "ultimate" gaming accessories.

Razer Mamba

+

Razer Ironclad

+

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate

would set me back at a staggering +- RM970

...

which is more worth it, an upgrade to an i7 processor (from i3) OR getting these three?

Can't really say... Lol

But if you go with the peripherals , you get 3 in one , Core i7 as in your going Sandy Bridge or the first generation?

Grrrr.... why moderno go with 5.1 Chimaera T_T
Wanted to test the normal 2.1v ~

First generation 1156, not planning to move to 1155 anytime soon.

I have been using soft surface all along. Perhaps Ironclad (hard mat) would feel different? Either Ironclad or Megasoma. Heard Ironclad has a cool sensation. Megasoma on the other hand, some say the logo itself on the mat has a different feel to the rest of the surface and is not even.

I've used 2-3 soft surface mat and then ended up with Destructor. After I bought Ironclad, it's really a good mat and even better if compared with Destructor. I haven't tried Megasoma though but if you have the budget, go for the highest end biggrin.gif

Actually it's all up to you. If you think that your i3 is good enough and you'll benefit from better gaming gears then get the full set. If your processor is weak to you and you need an upgrade for it then better you get a more powerful processor first.

My opinion would be that you go for the i7 processor, only if you already have a decent gaming rig set up (with good graphics cards etc.). Just think that the Mamba is a bit overpriced, and there are a lot of cheaper, more reliable alternatives out there. But then again, it's a mouse, so you would want to pick something that fits in your hand really nicely. I can't say much about the Ironclad though, as I've never used a hard gaming pad before. Been a fan of the Goliathus from day one and it has never let me down. I highly recommend it! And it's way cheaper too!
