btw I noticed a strange bug for while now.
Lets say if I cleared all my recent calls now,there will be an indication of missed call at menu tab.
Anyone have the same issue?

You probably just accidentally deleted the autorun file & icon file.Transferring back the files should solve your problem.

To those who are having this "battery seems to be charging but after unplugging the battery runs out fast" issue,it's a issue with PR 1.3.eyes(one of the NITDroid devs) confirmed this also.I'll try to report this bug later on.

For those who want long battery time use default omap kernel.My battery can last for 2 days with some mild internet/listening to songs/messaging/calls.With kernel power the battery can last around 1 day only.
It's possibly to strip kernel power of some of its functions.I'm going to try it so see what's causing the battery drainage.

Ok.Just got Eiraku's cable for test.

Overview of the cable 1st:
Overall the cable look quite sturdy.This cable won't dent easily as the af-af adapter.
In terms of physical quality CA-157 still the better cable but not by much.For RM12 this cable definitely worth it.

Hostmode:
No autotrigger like N810.You'll still need to mount the device with h-e-n.
But small price to pay to have a good working hostmode.
Transfered 100MB of files without any problem.

Conclusion:
This cable works with N900.But still needs software trigger.
For those who have the af-af adapter,this cable work just as well as the adapter method.It's just if you guys want a much reliable cable I'll recommend this.

I can't really comment on the solder quality till I cut open the cable.But from what I see from outside(it's transparent) the soldering quality isn't that bad & the cable didn't break even when I use extra amount of force on it.
But only time will tell how long this cable will last.

If you're using NITDroid:

Make sure you have installed multiboot patch

Boot your phone while sliding open your phone.

In some weird situation kernel power sometime will refuse to load.
Try reinstall kernel power from app manager.

Can't boot or in reboot loop?

Follow Manual Flashing Method B from FP.

At step 11 type following code:



This will only flash your kernel.

Reboot with your keyboard open & press 0.

Mounting should be done immediately.

Even after restating the mounting still takes long time?

If you are supernoob or lazy of configuring the ipk files you can flash custom eMMC file.
It'll expand your /home/ partition to 6GB while reducing the MyDocs partition size.
After that you can proceed to install the deb version of the webOS games.

Anyone who want other webOS games pm me.

Well...Trying to strip kernel power is real b****.Its much harder than what I thought.
For time being I'll be on omap kernel.Only reboot to kernel power if I want to use hostmode.omap kernel gave a much better battery standby time.

Too bad my experiment on kernel power have to wait for a while.Back to crack open iOS now.

Android browser is the best webkit based browser.iOS browser isn't as good as microB for sure.
Try browsing facebook full site with iPhone & you'll know the reason.

N8's browser isn't even worth mentioning.

N900 don't have some basic feature phone functions like grouping etc2.But there are some 3rd party apps to get over it.
N900 is my only phone & I'm satisfied with it's phone functions.

Tried iFunBox?If I'm not mistaken using iFunBox won't edit the metadata.

Got a working GUI VLC now



GUI wise it's much different from iOS version.But this is a fully working version.

Will try it later.But looking at the script I think there is some spelling mistake?

Sadly I don't think hardware acceleration available with this version
Still the video accelerated by CPU

Open terminal
Navigate to your video folder
Type vlc <video name>
The video will be playing at the terminal itself which for some will be very weird.
