I've realized that the radio is underutilized when I put it in my car. I now have it in my room so I could monitor as much as I am sitting infront of my computer.

Also, I've been decoding pager traffic. The pager system is still being used today and mostly I got was hotel job dispatch messages.
My best guess is that they are for the Genting Resort staff.

Thanks Wiraone. You just gave me an idea.    javascript:emoticon('')  However, I will make a visit to Jalan Pasar and check out first. I have checked my local electronic stores but none of them carry the converter. The comment was .. wah.. so small arrr.

Were you able to get the MCX to BNC connector? I am looking for one too now but seems to be non-existent online(locally).
I found a high quality adapter being sold on Element14 tho but it is RM 60 which is way over the top.

Thinking of just getting it from ebay but it would take 3 to 5 weeks for it to be delivered.

Just for informational purpose I post this:

The shop in Jalan Pasar does not have any MCX connector. They offered to make a new cable to convert MCX to something but they say they will need two days since they have never build such cable with MCX. They claim that the wire is too small for them.

I ended bought myself a BNC female to do it at home instead. I will update more to tell if I succeed in the soldering.

Have not been on air for the past months due to my main and only antenna is hooked up to an SDR. Been listening to trunking freqs and even getting weather reports from KLIA. haha

I personally have never been to any public eyeball session but only among my group in university. Perhaps you should join the FB pages and see.
