QUOTE(Fornx @ Nov 28 2010, 11:46 PM) can paid apps be purchased without marketenabler? heard the latest market update made paid apps available in our country o.o Yes it can. But first you need to create an account with your credit card at Google checkout. Not all got paid apps in Malaysia. Don't know why. |

QUOTE(Bugeca @ Nov 28 2010, 11:47 PM) Frankly speaking, this is the first time I heard about app2sd in SGS thread. What is the point doing this? Yea. I agree. No point here. It is only for HTC phones which have limited capacity. SGS has more than enough space.Added on November 28, 2010, 11:03 pm QUOTE(Fornx @ Nov 28 2010, 11:55 PM) But even if Malaysia market got paid apps. You still need google checkout to buy paid apps. So better create one and use market enabler. It's not much difference.Besides for local marketplace, not all apps can be found, both free and paid. So I still prefer to use marketenabler. QUOTE(neo1024 @ Nov 29 2010, 12:07 AM) oh, i was just wondering if that's possible. because SGS mounted part of the internal flashdrive as internal phone storage...if we could mount all of it into internal phone storage, then it'd be great.... The max I go is 800Mb++ for installed apps. And that is already 15-16 app pages in TW launcher. And I still got 700Mb free space to install. But then my phone lag like hell. Don't think I need so much, but it is still good to have the ability to do so whenever i want it. Now I am reducing my apps, planning to keep around 100 only because I find that most I use about 20 apps often, 30 apps seldom, 50 once in a blue moon. The rest only touch once. |

QUOTE(Fornx @ Nov 29 2010, 12:15 AM) means i would need a google checkout account under the email i registered for the android market to enable paid apps? I use gmail to log into google checkout. Then just add credit card. I am not sure what email you use, but if I remember correctly, you need gmail to log into google checkout. Maybe you give it a try. |

Kies is pretty much useless after upgrade to Froyo. It cannot read any of my contacts, calendar, sms, etc...
Anyone using Kies can still sync contacts, calendar, save sms, etc? |

QUOTE(fongwei @ Nov 29 2010, 11:29 AM) What is your battery stats like? For eg voltage, temperature, amps, etc??You need to check whether you battery is in good condition or not coz your battery consumption is not normal. There is an app call Mini Info, which can shows you the data and battery condition. I notice that if I change my scheduler to 'deadline', my opening of apps is faster and smoother. I change it using OCLF and the default android scheduler is cfq.

QUOTE(Harddisk @ Nov 29 2010, 11:49 PM) The Speedmod K10A (Test) was still referring to the same ULF settings as per K9A. I have tested it for half day. Quite stable. Hence I grabbed the info from there. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=814228 Added on November 29, 2010, 10:51 pm Meaning the author didn't update the thread in XDA I'll wait for you guys to test until K10A is labelled "Stable" But I factory reset before I applied the kernel. |

SpeedMod K10A usage review. I install the 500MHz with no lagfix (yet). Result is smooth. Like eclaire on Voodoo magic.
GPS lock very fast outdoor, around 2 seconds already lock. Even indoor (near window) it took less than 10 seconds to lock only. Wifi I put to sleep when screen turn off, when I turn on it already connected to wifi. I can say the connection is instantaneous. Battery consumption is like 2% per hour during idle time. No widgets, no tweetdeck, but wifi is on, put on 3g, location on and auto-sync with gmail is on (received 3 emails during the course of testing). Encounter no issue so far. QUOTE(adliazaddin @ Nov 30 2010, 11:21 AM) after running 2 weeks on oclf.. my samsung still running perfectly... im not sure wy you guys said oclf suck hahaha OCLF is working fine for me. It is simple to use and good for battery life. In terms of lagfix, it is simply not the best. I still use OCLF for scheduling change which I agree with RyanZa, deadline schedule is better than android default which is cfq. QUOTE(ken2291 @ Nov 30 2010, 11:47 AM) No need, the apps you downloaded still intact. Only those system apps will be fresh. Can just flash right away. I only have tweaks enabled too, no problem Yea, I like to know what is that misc+batt tweaks as well. Added on November 30, 2010, 10:49 amnew speedmod K10a includes misc+battery tweaks. No idea what's the 3rd and 4th tweaks about |
