nekromaniak... it is not an essential part of the guitar. However if you decide to go for a floating tremolo bridge, be sure to get a decent one, otherwise it can make your life miserable.
Supposing that your life is your guitar, that is... i mean, life is more than just guitar, there are other things too... some are even more important than guitar, sometimes... family... girls... a good distortion pedal... not messing up your cables everytime you play... not showing your back to led zep... |

i was informed by led_zep freak that ad15vt is good for warm/vintage and clean sounds but what about the distortion? Is it commendable for heavy metal/palm muting songs or is the microcube 15 better ?

For home practice it's definitely more than enough choices for you to play with... For gigging/jamming purposes, I can't really comment. Then again a 15-watter is not the best choice for gigging, is it?As for the Cube, the Microcube's nice and portable but I prefer the Cube 30, more choices and sounds more 'open'(better projection). |

yeah.. more towards home usage but there's like lots of amp models like the Plexi Brownsound (Van Halen) which is really cool and its cheap if the person already owns a pc with a gd speaker( im talking about a 2.1).. i cant decide between the guitar port and the microcube.. argh!!!

somebody go buy this pls before i do...must conserve money
http://www.i-bands.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3540 hes willing to sell the guitar only at RM1200 negotiable. its made in japan, built dec 1980. from what i can see in the pic, the model is AR50. its the low end model, without that special tail piece that screws firmly into the body, and with plain maple instead of flame. but its still pretty good, just hope this one is in good condition. basically built like some 70s LP custom like zakks. mahogany body, carved maple top, maple neck, ebony fretboard. im thinkin of still going to check it out tho, but hes in shah alam. Guitar Collection is the one carrying ESP and LTD. ESP and LTD make great guitars but at the price Guitar Collection is changing them for, I say there are lots of better choices.

does that means that ltd guitars aren't that good? cuz i've tried one and i like the feel of the guitar...btw, is the tremelo reliable? i mean for the m-100..
if put side by side (dun compare the tremelo), which guitar is better for the long run? ibanez sz320 or the ltd m-100 fm? i play more hard rock, metal and occassionally solos... |

My son wants a ESP AX-50, called all branches of guitar-collection but all sold out. They quoted price RM1498 but after discount about RM1350. However since they don't have stock, going down to Davis Guitar in SG this weekend. They selling the model for SG420 with free bag or about RM1K.Are amps much cheaper in SG? |
