Aiyo, I've read somewhere, someone dyno-ed a stock Persona, only 70+ WHP leh... I'm not prepared for such news. LoL. Ur's new car?

Yeah my car Only 1mth4days old.. run 2700+km ady..70+ whp???!!! Damn wei... If like that straight i give this car to my mom and get another car ady.. No use trying to mod and bring up figures from so much of transmission power loss.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Hahaha.. Hard to say lo.. Our Persona also not that bad la actually.. Rite?? I tried before 0-100 in 9 secs.. Auto gear, play shift.. LoL. Better than me, my car abt 2 weeks old already 1800 km.. Crap..

Hey, do you know anyone who tried retro-fitting disc brakes into B or M-line Personas? I'm thinking of doing that.. Persona's stock brakes are too crappy..

Yeah persona is really good.. 9sec for 0-100 is respectable for such a obese car.. Will see what i can do with it later..

Me student only.. Use my car too much then no money pour petrol.. tongue.gif Instead of retrofitting try changing the brake pads first.. Good suggestion would be Bendix Metal King. Retrofitting is a lot of problem, such as changing master brake pump, brake fluid delivery cables, brake disc etc.. Trust me u will get used to the brake within 1 mth time.. I was very worried bout the brakes initially but now im perfectly used to it.. It stops well too..

I AM getting used to the brakes... But it doesn't feel good la.. I was thinking of changing the rotors to cross-drilled ones, and high performance brake pads to compensate for the crappy saga 1.3 master brake pump... I got quoted around RM 600 from EA.. Quite a good price, but currently broke now.. biggrin.gif

Oh those EA ones.. Cross drilled and slotted.. But then that does not include the master brake pump right? Try getting half cut Evo3 double servo ones.. Rm150 can get one ady.. Then we go drag and see who wins the 100-0 time eh tongue.gif

There's no need to change the master brake pump.. It's just the rotors and brake pads replacing the stock ones.. Evo3? Nah, not gonna EVOlve my Persona.. LoL.
0-100-0... Ok?? XD I don't wanna burn my wheels yet, gonna trade it in for 17".. There's a shop in Gombak willing to take my set of stock wheels for 1k.. brows.gif

Erm but then u shd know 1.3master brake pump are tuned for front disc back drum setup.. There are minor changes in the cable which prevents the fluid from flowing back too fast for the drum brakes.. If u swap with disc brake it will cause brake pressure still being applied to the back disc brakes.. Clarify that with EA first.. Sure they will tell u to change the brake hose for the back too.. Urs ok lah.. MLine, so its the sport rims, 1k with new tires, bargain for the shop.. hehe.. Mine BL steel rims.. If ask them trade in for 1k they will take it and throw on my head got lah.. biggrin.gif

Eh can help me one thing ah.. When u go trade in ur ori rims and tire pls timbang and see how heavy is the rims+tires. and also timbang ur new rims without tires and with tires.. I want to see will it add more weight than existing rims..

Seriously.. WHATS THE USE/BENEFIT? RM600 for that.. Not much difference lah.. I thought u wanted to change rear brakes.. Better off getting Racing pads (650-850degrees) which can withstand high temperatures.. Guarantee going down from Genting full brake also no problem.. U change the brake disc but u nvr change the brake pistons it wont help in braking power lah.. Maybe ur disc can last longer before brake fade sets in, on normal non mountainous road it would be very very unlikely for brake fade to occur.. If u e-brake from 200-0kmh then probably it will fade lah, but before that u will be under some trailer ady.. tongue.gif

2pot brake with cross drilled disc and 4pot brake with solid ventilated disc with high temp brake pads, the latter wins lah.. Unless u are that type that brake super hard kaw kaw everytime u slow down then cross drilled would be useful lah.. But by that time u will be dead ady due to no ABS and ur tire locking up and loss of control cause of the super hard braking..

Erm and when u go to COSE tmr can u ask the technicians there whether can retrofit ABS and driver airbag into BLine PE or not.. Interested to know..

U'd be surprised.. It might seem like a no-brainer, but it truly makes a lot of difference.. MyVivian last time also used this method... Brakes makan kaw kaw.. I don't know la, but maybe cos the brakes suits my driving style.. hmm.gif RM 600 for both brake rotors & 650 CC brake pads, I think it's worth it.. The way I drive, my brake pads usually go dead in just a few months.. And my rotors always bengkok wan.. sweat.gif E=brake from 200-0? Dude.. 150 also I saw my future d... How to drive 200? laugh.gif

The last time i search the cheapest was RM100 a pair for front.. can get from forumer airline. (I didnt buy from him though)
