Well for graphical works I would recommend you wait for better U2412M review, and see if the LED + IPS can beat U2311H in wide color range, and of course, viewing angle, etc.
If you can't wait, I would recommend U2311H for its already proven.

Mr Goh, for your info I already got my U2412M and this is the 2nd day using it:)

Turn off your flash and set ISO level to the lowest possible, if got 50 even better, then use tripod to take it, since without flash the picture might appear blurry, unless your hand is shake-less. thumbup.gif
That's anti-glare coating but still possible to have slightly, better than the glossy panel which your picture will appear almost white out. doh.gif

Hi all U2412M,

I am upgrading my monitor now, wanted to know if the Dell U2412M is superior than any Samsung monitor model like BX2450, P2370 higher series of Samsung monitor? I am in Penang couldn't find any sample of U2412M to compare. I was very impressed with Samsung S23A950D 3D monitor quality but not the price of RM1389. Just wanted to know how does it compare in terms of picture sharpness, color etc. I am using it for browsing most, picture editing, but not watching movies as I am using my LED TV most of the time for that.

Please share your opinion, thanks.

As of no, U2412M is the heat and trend in this thread:P For the price of RM1389 you can get almost 2 of U2412M. Anyway you wait for the U2412HM. It's relatively resembles and inch close in terms of specifications with his predecessor U2412M. On top of that, U2412M having offer now RM749 from RM899. Only for a limited time.

Question to those who have U2412m, how is gaming performance, 8ms time matters or not?

Dell U2311H has 8ms and it's considered as good, but some hardcore FPS gaming might find it slightly blurry, otherwise it's good for casual to normal gaming.
If you're serious gamer, you should look for 120Hz panel instead, such as the Alienware 3D monitor which capable of 120Hz if not using the 3D mode, should prove enough for fast pace gaming.
Other than that, TV that has 100Hz or 120Hz panel is very good as well, but they're priced rather steep for some TV includes more features and using high-end IPS panel.
Someone here should use a software to review the input lag and the panel responsiveness, should bring some light to those who haven bought it yet. brows.gif Some like me... *ahem* whistling.gif

Add: Google "PixPerAn".

No this is not recommended for high-end graphic requirement. You gotta spend on Alienware Monitors or Samsung SA Series which cost RM1300 and above.

I believe he was asking for Gaming (fast FPS/racing and such) ... where speed is more essential than colour accuracy/depth/contrast/even shades...

good quality TN panels (and cheaper monitors) rather than U2412M
