Im using a42jv..
I have problem viewing japanese font..
Can see the font in browser but when in window explorer i just see rectangles...(can see from file attached)
I hav no orob b4..
any idea??
forgot to say..
I can write and read the font without prob in microsoft word..

After googleling..
i can only found prob in writing japanese / viewing the font in browser..
dont see one with mine prob...

did u do backup on cd or in hard disc ???

sry, late reply, internet in sarawak is very crappy...

never backup any of the data before, but i still remember when my first time having problem with the 64byte os (wrong install software), ive sent it to the shop to format it, but the shop keeper just do the recovery thingie. he said that the installation files are already in the hd. so... how do i get to the recovery mode, and is my D: partition get erased as well?

guys I sold my A42DR (AMD P320, HD5470) becoz I need a better proc to run my design and video converting. Now using Lenovo Z460. Will miss my ex-wife

just bought a42 (i3-370m , nvidia 310m, 500gb hdd, 2gb ram) , damn it asus still use the stupid heavy bulky power adapter which is exactly same as my 7 year old laptop one

when will they change to something like toshiba one

Its 90W power adapter, what sort of Toshiba adapter you talk about?

my friend tohiba laptop adapter is very small and very light. can use on asus laptop also.

hi. any one using u41f facing the auto shut down problem? it will automatically switch off without any reason. when u restart sometimes will shut off again. this is very annoy since i rushing my assignment and perhaps only after CNY then send for warranty. may i know what is the real reason actually?

its probably one of them universal adaptors.. which is not licensed by toshiba. I know because last time my toshiba adaptor got spoilt and they told me about this.

hi all, i just bought a 2months old asus a42jc (core i5 460m, 4gb ram, 500gb hd, nvidia 310m).. from a forumer here.. so far i am very satisfied with this rig.. except one thing la.. i just install a game, Wanted and i'm having a mouse lag la.. how to fix it eh??

the mouse.. graphic i think ok la.. but when i move the mouse its not as accurate as it suppose to be..

yup already set the mouse setting.. or maybe is it because of the nvidia 310m gfx didnt support a hi performance graphic game..

try turning down graphic details? go low and see how...
