may i ask, generally, does ASUS have better (or at least of high quality)hardware, like it's desktop counterpart (motherboard, graphic cards), compared to other brands, like, Dell?
and what about heat dissipation? is there such this as two heat pipes, one for cpu and another for gpu?
i'm interested in N53JQ and would like to know more bout it, and its quality compared to others.

all the laptops u see are all made by the few OEMs, period...

both Acer and Asus are made by Foxconn...

amount of VRAM means nothing if it's only a mainstream or value GPU...

take HD5730 for eg, even 512MB is more than enuf for it...

Direct X is not a driver... it's a library of files within Windows which is needed to draw the graphic in games...

u problem sounds more like driver of the GPU itself or resolution... ve u tried update the GPU driver?

it's more like, the actual capacity of the battery is more than the rated capacity...

like for my battery, rated at 4800mAh, but it's max capacity is 5200mAh, so it stops charging at 95%...

QUOTE(ronn77 @ Nov 29 2010, 11:39 AM)
From the A42JC and Timeline series, the difference is only the GC where Timeline using ATI and 42JC is on Nvidia M310. Apart from that, the HDD for Timeline is slightly bigger (640GB vs 500GB). The rest looks the same to me so how do we conclude that Timeline series looks attractive compared to this one?
*
HD5650 is at least 2 times better than GeForce 310M, thus a better option for gaming...

also TimelineX's selling pt is battery life... up to 8hrs of battery life is unrivaled at the same price... Asus' closest (in hardware and battery) is the yet-to-be-launched U41Jf, rm2999...

so overall, TimelineX is the winner...
