Asus A series webcam is not bad considering it's only 0.3MP

Just bought A42J yesterday from LowYat.

Something bothering me regarding this laptop. I've tried to install the latest nvdia driver for the GPU from nvidia website and installed the DirectX 9. After installation, the laptop cannot boot inside into the windows..

Need to use the system restore to restore back the windows before the updates. Anyone has such problems exists in their Asus laptop?

Anyone knows where to buy matte screen protector? The reflection is killing me outdoors

Another question. I don't know what's wrong with my laptop. I reformatted it using the recovery partition. And from there I installed/uninstalled whatever I need and don't need.

Occasionally I found out that upon rebooting, not all programs are running. e.g my AV usually will have the icon on the taskbar but sometimes the icon isn't there but when I click on the shortcut on the desktop, the program runs as if it is already running. I'm not sure how to put it in words "

And sometimes, some background programs that enables KB shortcut are not running properly. e.g The Asus splendid utility. Normally Fn+C would cycle through the colour profile. And also the dedicated button for power/performance profile.

I suspect it has something to do with Asus fastboot. Any one of you having similar problems?

I haven't removed, but it's really irritating but I sayang the laptop at the same time. =.=

I just rearrange the yellow tape so it won't block my view. All the protector is still on, maybe I removed it after 1 week, when the 1 to 1 exchange period is over.

I used keyboard protector as well, although I hate it because I can't feel the keyboard which I loved the most, both the look and the feel of it. If there is a backlit version of it I'll buy it.

So far I love A42Je. Performance is great, the GPU is very overclockable especially the memory, and long battery life as well. Sad that its harddisk is running hot.

Now I'm thinking the possibility to go SSD. Haha.

Is it do-able?
