Guys, I went to device manager and went to the network devices. I went properties and go power management. It was ticked to allow the computer to off this device to save power. I untick it already. Is that the problem??

shit, yesterday my battery indicator stuck at 97% and show 10hours battery life for my A42JV. At first I'm happy (i know its illogical). But
after half hour and it still stuck at 97%, I start to worry. Manage to
fix it by take out the battery and put in again =.=||

Base system device usually is card reader,
As for PCI Simple Communications Controller, it should be Intel Management driver...
try this link if Asus web don't have it..
link
As for touchpad, is it elantech or synaptics ?

Thanks lee-what2004 for replying my question few days ago, i was a bit tight with time i haven't the chance to reply back here.. thumbup.gif

Anyway my asus a42f device properties is now like this:

user posted image

Still have a few nicks & picks question regarding this laptop..
1. Card reader u say? Doesn't the windows own driver settle it? Any links for card reader driver that i can use? hmm.gif
2. I install the Intel Management driver, it clear up a few things like u said eg: PCI Simple Communications Controller.. notworthy.gif
3. I don't know what touchpad it is bcoz when i got the laptop its os was beyond repair & i had to format it, let just say it's full of viruses sweat.gif
4. Do u have any other idea regarding the one last base system device from the SS?
5. IIANM for standard formatted from factory Asus laptop there is a special program that when u use things like brightness control & volume got some animation showing it, what program is that? Any links for it?

Thanx bro, u been such a help thumbup.gif

Base System Device = ATKACPI driver and hotkey-related utilities
for PCI Simple Communications Controller, try look for its Hardware Ids under properties, then search @ http://www.pcidatabase.com/
example you will see PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0641&SUBSYS_82961043&REV_A1 on first row,10DE you input on Vendor Search, then 0641 on Device Search.finally you will know what is the driver for unknown device
*
I have already install the ATKACPI but it doesn't solve the base system driver problem hmm.gif
