turnigy plush and hobbywing pentiums are supposed to be the same thing under different labeling
i have even used the turnigy programing card on pentium ESCs ... hehehe

now the 40a BLUE ESC with 4A SBEC is very good for me ...

last time copterX 450 series quite popular here ... then got whack by price down of ALIGN
dunno much about the 250 though ... if the parts are fully compatible with ALIGN then no probs to get parts laa .. if not then u have to source where to get parts 1st lorr

Is the Trex 250 SE parts compatible with the old/standard/first version of Trex 250?

It looks like there are number of improvements on the SE version.

I see that your signature has so many Walkera's stuff especially v450D01. So far how do you think about this 450 size from Walkera? Comparable to a Trex 450?

Hehehe, I am also a Walkera heli and radio owner. Do you like your 2801 Pro and are you using it to control your Trex 250 SE?

450 is a great heli, it is very stable... I can say it is as stable as a TREX 450 flybarless setup...

Parts wise it is 80% compatible with Trex 450 sports...

It can do HARD 3D... I have seen people do it... I have not...

but the heli is great and if you need this heli to perform better just upgrade to the Align 3G gyro (buy the set) and it can seriously perform!!!

Added on March 23, 2011, 1:58 pmYES I am using it to control Trex 250 what I do is I just get the 2801 pro 8ch receiver and hook it up to the TREX250...

yes the control of 2801 pro is great very smooth and great transmitter...

I have not test the range as heli dont need to go far...

So far i hav tested my 2801pro from my plane. The radio has no problem with about 200meters. Hehe, i think even with 700 size heli u would not be able to see CLEARLY!

What is the battery size u r using for ur 250se now? The C of the battery?

I cant do 3D yet so I cannot tell you hehehe

I set my timer to 5 min of Run....

I dont intend to stress the battery.... I prefer to maintain at least 40% charge to preserve the life of the batt...

OK, 60% will give you 5 minutes. So there should be another 1 min++ of flight time if you want to go up 80% of utilization.

Wow, like that 3D with 250SE may expect lesser time already. But not a problem to me since I dun have 250SE and I dun know 3D yet tongue.gif

you can try go longer... but remember once ESC cut your heli may fall to the ground.... ouch!!!

don't know Align good or not because I have never owned one before. But I think it is something quite reasonable with the price and quality we get loh ........

Replaced the 4G6 rotor head whole set. Don't think I am going to do invert with 4G6 real soon so just ask ask see see what else can I use to learn inverting loh.
You suggested my BCP but I am hesitating.....

Align in Malaysia is good, can take the stress of hard 3D... (with the matching gyro lah)

parts also available and plenty... no problem getting spare parts...

BCP is cheap but all plastic... if crash alot of parts gone also...

Align so far is good lah...

My Walkera V450D01 is good but the parts some is limited locally... and have to wait for spare parts from HK... so I get another Align 450 lor....

my 4G6S now keep for normal flights only ... the vibrations that happens after i crashed the heli inverted will not go away ... maybe unless i change the whole rotor head of which i do not have a spare unless i order

no mood to fly heli or plane the last couple of weeks ... maybe my passion for this hobby going cold ... hahahaha
