Hehehehe, care to share with me how you made yours?
I thought that the start up cost to buy and DIY will cost more to buy a frame like the HBK carbon fiber one ....

QUOTE(QiW @ Jan 16 2012, 04:24 AM)
u can use any frame with any board ..
if u plan to use this for aerobatics then u might face some issues ... this F450 frame is HEAVY !!!
u need something light with higher kv motors (1000-1300kv ... diameter 26-28mm) depending on your prop and frame size
even DIY frame oso much lighter ... and perfect for aerobatics
the 1st video u posted doing flips etc etc is a DIY frame .. but made by a PRO laa .. hahahahaa

but if your intention is aerobatics .. better go for MULTI WII CONTROLLER
those have 3 gyros and 3 accelerometers .. much better
and u can fly in aerobatic mode or stable mode (self leveling) just by flicking a switch on your radio
it is much more hassle trying to tune a MWC compared to KK ... need to read some as well as trial and error
KK is capable too ... but stability wise it loses out to a MWC

Is this the multi wii controller you are talking about?

Yes, absolutely. That's a fixed pitch heli.

For you to be able to fly inverted you'll need a collective pitch heli - the pitch can be varied.

Would it be better to get the 25A ESC first for future frame upgrade to a bigger one?

Too bad, that HBK quad frame gone in an hour .... damn fast ....

Qiw, what KV of the motor is needed for a 350mm ~ 400mm quad?

Compare to the SK3 aerodrive motor and the one above from HBK, what's the difference?

I notice that multircshop also sell motor, are those good ar?

Hehehe, after thinking twice, I pulled the trigger to buy that SK3 2282 motor.

This 10x4.5 prop will do just fine, right?
http://www.multircshop.com/site/index.php?...&product_id=610

Don't have the frame yet, either waiting for HBK's talon or DIY later .......

Also the Red KK Plus 5.5e looks like needed some accessory to program the firmware. There is a LCD module for it as well, what do I need actually?

Opppppsssss, sorry. you are right, it's 2822 SK3 1090KV motor.

Already ordered the prop (8x4.5) to use with this motor, these electronics configurations suitable for 450mm frame or not base on your experience?

hehehehehe, here I am coming to the quadcopter world !!!!!

BCP? Nothing's wrong with the heli. Remember that you pay for less than 600 ringgit for a 450 size heli with Tx/Rx, charger and battery too! For that price, the heli has been doing its job to let you learn hover and normal flying.

But if you are affordable more, go for a heli which is more 3D capable because an inverted heli is more exciting tongue.gif

By the way, did that BCP owner setup his heli correctly since he is a newbie? I.e. the pitch, swash plate, bla bla bla .... the stock one from factory required to do so most of the time ........
