Hey Guys,
I am a newbie here. Just want to check if I am flying one of the cheapo China made WM196 heli. Some how, now when I try to fly it, the rotor spin but the heli no longer take off. How do I check what's wrong with it? I try to fully charge it but it does not help. Changing battery of the controller also doesn't help.

Thanks

Regards,
Chong

Yes. I crashed it multiple time and the blades do not looks smooth (got quite a lot of denting as crashed into wire fence and etc). So if I managed to get the blade replaced, it should fly back? Will try to check that out.

Thanks

Chong

Additional question:
The stock battery is using :
SHIDA NI-MH 50AAA 800mAh 9.6v.

Wondering if possible for me to change that to other battery to "pro-long" the flight time.

I have interest in this hobby but will want to start "small" and get know to the parts, components and small modification before I can commit if I am really into spending big bucks for this expensive hobby. tongue.gif

Thanks.

Did another quick diagnostic on the problematic heli toy this morning. When increase the speed of the blade, it seems like it's moving left even I dial the gyro setting all the way to right to counter the movement.

If I control it to move left while still sitting on the floor (cause it cannot take off), the speed of the upper blade increase. But if I try to move right, the speed of the upper blade slows down and moving toward stationary while the lower blade still spinning.

So I am assuming there's a problem with the main gear connectivity here?

Looks like quite complicated to troubleshoot this issue and should I just save up and buy a proper one or keep on "troubleshooting" this piece of toy?

get a cheap radio with a USB ppm dongle (the ESKY one will do)
google and download FREE flight SIM software
install into PC ... then try to fly from the PC
by the time u can hover a trex500 in any direction for as long as u want in the SIM .. u can skip the SKY LAMA and jump straight to a real TREX .. hehehe

Ask you guys those with futaba 8fg.

I notice that there are 2 versions of 8fg coming from the factory. 1 is pre-programmed to suit heli and another one is for airplane, does this make a different if someone got the airplane version and use it for heli?

Hehehe, just know that futaba is giving away a free extra 7-ch receiver if you are buying certain model of radio ............
