inspira
gives u a slightly lower priced car compared to others in the 1.8cc and 2.0cc category IMHO
spare parts availability is higher due to some parts being similar with mitsubishi but i'm sure it's not 100% mitsubishi quality..
owners would still encounter problems here and there more frequent depending on luck..
and it's cheaper to replace or whatsoever...i think this is because it's either easy to replicate or to prevent locals from getting other kind of car brands..
modifications is easy due to some parts being similar with mitsubishi, well most technicians nowadays should already know how proton / mitsubishi technology is like
some malaysians would stick with local malaysian cars such as proton and perodua due to the price
quality wise, everyone should know how proton is like...
accessories either makes the car nicer or worsen it because, for example, electronics accessories requires a good technician to diagnose it if any problems occur
bluetooth player/receiver or usb player or whatever...voice recognition/activation bla bla bla...how often would u, as a driver use it..no offence to anyone though..
perhaps it's good to pass the time if stuck in traffic jam or for those tech savvy people...it's useful
well all in all, it's up to the buyer's preferences
proton inspira is somewhat a rebadge of mitsubishi lancer but probably some parts aren't fully mitsubishi..seeing the price of the car is about RM30k lower than lancer itself..
well, the about is just a point of my view...
safety and handling..i doubt it's as good as the lancer..

forte
apart from all those fancy accessories like usb, bluetooth..bla bla bla...
forte looks different from certain cars during year 2010..
to me, it looks nice with a bodykit and spoilers
but as a car from korea..i guess the headlamp and rear lamp might fade after a long time or become yellowish.. earlier than proton or any other car manufacturer if not taken care properly..
korean made cars are now only catching up with the rest of the models
however overall look...it's an OK car to me..
i hardly see a lot of forte on the road lately..
perhaps ipoh doesn't have much forte owners compared to other states
well, seeing that koreans are getting better in their automobile technology, they might be a good competitor in future smile.gif
japan is still the top in asia cars...and japanese cars is on par with mercedes and bmw quality..
i would definitely choose a japanese car over and other car when it comes to asia category..

all in all...the above is just my humble opinion...
and frankly speaking, both of it won't be in my choice ^^

Ya I saw a lot Forte in Pg.
After 1 week with my Forte, I really satisfied. Just have a trip to Pg today and really can feel the comfortability of Forte.

Very true.

I only managed to spot a few Fortes here, mostly white.

Inspira also same, only a few.

Cruze no need say, near non-existence.

H brand fewer, but T brand almost everywhere.

20 years ago, indeed Japanese car quality are on par with Mercedes and BMW.
After 20 years, what Japanese cars on par with Mercedes and BMW are, the spart parts price and not much 3rd party foreman can service them. Everything can be on par but not quality.
