QUOTE(dstl1128 @ Nov 29 2010, 02:27 PM) Interesting Campro got a 'boost' in 4.1k rpm, meanwhile Vios got boost in 5.7k rpm. Old Campros, the power comes in at 4000rpm mah hence the boostI'm very interested in power/torque graphs. Probably should pinned a thread for collection of stock cars' power/torque graph. |

QUOTE(kcng @ Jan 2 2011, 07:58 PM) straight line speed or cornering speed? The Inspira has better acceleration off the line as well due to its 6 speed transmissionstraight line speed, both are about the same... 200 km/h +/- forte limited by the 4-speed slushbox... inspira limited by that CVT box... cornering speed? the answer obvious right Both the 2L engine power is the same |

1.8 Inspira is not conventional auto, it is also CVT with 6 speed sports mode (INVECS III) but without paddle shifters only

QUOTE(XionCity @ Jan 26 2011, 05:30 PM) They state wrongly for the CVT section only as both the 1.8 and 2.0 has CVTFor the paddle shifters, it is correct as only the 2.0L Premium model only has it. The 1.8 Executive version doesn't have paddle shifters So you don't need to be confuse |

QUOTE(XionCity @ Sep 7 2011, 01:28 AM) 1. 1.6 under 17'' rims, while 1.8 under 15/16'' rims....whose is lighter?? think la....try change to 15'' rims n c.....i bet 100% u can feel the true power of 1.6 engine.....is juz same theory as current Proton Exora, big body, small engine.... 1) Rims is not much of a big factor, it is the auto slushbox that is the main culprit as well as the lower displacement. Well if you compare nicely, power to weight ratio with a CVT 1.8 Inspira, The Forte still has better power to weight ratio, the CVT Inspira might have avg 8-10whp more but it can be easily canceled out due to its sheer weight but why still lose, blame the slushbox.2. u can't compare the non-vvt engine with 2.0 engine of Forte....like u r comparing Ferrari to Kancil..... think la.....1 is pure performance engine, another is economical....let me ask u la...B16A/B or 4AGE series engine or SR16DE engine....do their FC can b as gd as Forte 2.0's engine??? think la.....if u wan compare like dat....as well i get RX7/8 1.3 engine to tapao ur 1.6 engine.....wan?? 2) What kcng was refering to is the real world performance (doesn't need to be the B series, 4AGE or SR16DE), not on paper and definitely not regarding the engine's fuel consumption. Newer engines with newer technology of course will be more fuel economical. If you wanna compare FC, go take the old 13B rotary and cry This post has been edited by shinjite: Sep 7 2011, 08:53 AM |
