The Sigma may be on par in terms of center sharpness. Corner sharpness wise, the Zeiss wins.
IQ is not only measured by sharpness. Other factors such as contrast, colours and detail resolution also should be considered. If you can afford it, get the Zeiss. It's not labelled a Zeiss for nothing. |

evilhomura89: simple. I think its shot using fast fps (or whatver you call it on video) - like shooting slow mo vids. put the handycam/camera/vidcam on a tripod and hop on a train and let the train move... and there you have it.

QUOTE(evilhomura89 @ Dec 2 2010, 05:47 PM) i read this one somewher. the user use a camera (Casio High Speed EXILIM EX-FH20) with a very high fps recording capability (210fps) and then playback in normal 30fps. thats why become like dat. (http://www.petapixel.com/2010/11/25/slow-m...t-from-a-train/) QUOTE In all my slow-motion work so far, I’ve used a static camera to capture a high-speed event. But, I wondered, what would happen if the camera was the fast-moving object? For instance, if you use a 210fps camera at 35mph, on playback at 30fps it’ll seem to the observer that they’re moving at walking pace- but everything observed will be operating at 1/7th speed. What I’d hoped to do was film the people on a railway platform from a train as it blasted past, but since the places they don’t stop at tend not to be listed in the timetables, this would be hard to co-ordinate. I figured that being at the very front of a fast train as it approached a stop would suffice; although the ‘frozen in time’ effect is less pronounced towards the end of the video, the platforms at non-stops tended to be mostly empty, so there’d be less to capture anyway. Helpfully, people don’t seem to move too much as their train arrives! damn this Casio High Speed EXILIM EX-FH20: -shutter speed range from 30sec to 1/40000s -full resolution 9mp can take around 1fps -at 8mp can take 30fps -7mp = 40fps OMG -video can take at 30fps (good quality), 210fps (lesser quality), 1000fps (least quality) This post has been edited by mastering89: Dec 2 2010, 06:30 PM |
