QUOTE(shootkk @ Nov 16 2010, 09:16 AM) albnok : Thanks for the comments. I sometimes do find it a bit difficult trying to align the edges using an UWA. Tilt a little this way or that way and the edges can really run off! Hahaha! wa bro. i only post ONE pic of lenglui nia leh. big mer??? angle problem la i think. her tummy is definitely flattttttt..... zstan : Wah! You go to Korea take pics of leng lui only ar? I dunno ler but this pic I feel the tummy a bit big ler... better she cover it. Hahaha! Otherwise I feel the shot is a wee bit soft? Hands shaking when in front of the leng lui? agree on the soft part. using iso 800, 1/15 seconds and at f2.8 some more..very acceptable to me.. |

QUOTE(shootkk @ Nov 18 2010, 09:57 AM) zstan : If it's ghosting then it should be the same in every shot right? But that's not the case. In some shots it runs more. Some shots it runs less. And yes I do have a filter on but the filter stays on for all the shots. hmm, the filter might be the cause. try taking off your filter next time while doing long exposure shots. |

if you really want HSM then get the sigma 17-50 f2.8 OS HSM la.
no point buying another same lens of the same grade IMO. |

QUOTE(wha7ever @ Nov 18 2010, 01:35 PM) You mean same grade as SAL18250? Of course that lens will be sold off. hmmm..so your main favour now is the HSM or constant f2.8?And if happen to go for 17-70, of course the 17-35 will go off in sales thread. I don't see any good review on the 17-50 f/2.8 just yet. do note that 17-70 is not full frame but 17-35 is IINM. This post has been edited by zstan: Nov 18 2010, 02:02 PM |

QUOTE(lawt2845 @ Nov 18 2010, 02:45 PM) Hi, everyone, fresher for this thread. welcome to the club. Got A33 1 week ago with 18-250mm lens. My 1st SLR Sharing: Though of Tamron 18-200 or sony 18-250 before, yet go through some review condemn a lot on Tamron (sorry for Tamron fans, but this is wat I read),things like slow AF, suck dust etc. Tested on this 2 lens at the shop, photo shooting hard to see the diff. Yet for movie continuous focus, Tamron took 4-5 sec to focus whereas sony lens 2.5 sec. Hence sony is my choice although tamron offer an attractive price. cons sweep panaroma function setting is fixed by sony, apperture, shutter speed, iso can't touch. short battery life others - up to my expectation. Question: Thinking of 50mm f1.4 or 50mm f1.8? Use mainly for boker. Pls advise, thk. |

QUOTE(wha7ever @ Nov 18 2010, 04:05 PM) I'm not bothered with constant F/2.8. If I ever need bright aperture lenses, I would just stick with prime lens. in that case...the best option would be the 16-80mm Zeiss!! very wide range there~ I just want to replace SAL18250. The focus ring build for this lens is not suitable for video and needed more range than 17-35. HSM is just a bonus, and of course I favor it more than SAM lenses. The Sigma 18-250 seems to be a good option, but heck... I think I would get a telephoto prime lens first. |
