Your ScrotWM really caught my attention!  laugh.gif I think I'm gonna give that wm a whirl when I revive my archlinux box soon. Also, am I the only arch user here? :\
*

I'm an Arch user as well, though not as often as I used to be. I've gotten a bit disenchanted with Arch recently, particularly the package quality in AUR (most recent was some terrible breakage with AwesomeWM and Cairo). I still like Arch a lot, but currently prefer Debian Sid/Experimental/GRML (I'm a long-time Debian contrib, so I might be biased), Free-BSD (it's ports and jails system is sublime) and Gentoo if I really feel like tinkering with bootscripts and setting flags.

ScrotWM is rather simple compared to many other tiling WM's out there, but it's simplicity is it's strength, as I found out. I won't say it's my favourite WM (a floating Openbox is what I prefer on my workstation), but it's definitely the first choice for my netbook and server, mainly due to its lightness and speed. Other tiling WMs I like are Musca, DWM and Ratpoison. Currently experimenting with CWM and Subtle as well.

Hope to see more lightweight WM/CLI setups posted here, so I'm looking forward to your screenshots. smile.gif

Cheerz.

Very nice and clean. Only thing I would remove is that small graph (cpu load box) in your panel, since conky already displays that in a nicer fashion. Other than that, it seems a really comfortable setup. Good wallpaper as well.

Just made a new wallpaper and tweaked my .Xdefaults a tad on the netbook.

Tweetdeck is the best IMO. But a bit over-functional. laugh.gif ?

The recent Twitter for Mac is just nice. hmm.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

This conky configuration is based on this Deviant Artist - Garbriel

It seems that she wont release her custom conky , so i went and re-create a similar conky as hers (coz i luv it XD)

Might wanna release my own custom conky configuration as well hmm.gif

Some basics to conky :

TEXT - type this and everything below it will appear as text until another argument is typed

offset - controls the distance of x axis

voffset - controls the distance of y axis of an object

font - specify a font for an argument EG : font Ubuntu - this will display the argument with the font Ubuntu

Bold/Italic etc - makes the font appears as alternate font EG : font Ubuntu:Bold - this will display the argument with the font Ubuntu Bold

size/pixelsize - controls an argument size EG : pixelsize=90 - makes the argument size at 90 pixels

CPU/RAM and other commands to display various computer status can be obtained from hereAttached File  config_settings.html ( 19.79k ) Number of downloads: 3
and here for the variables Attached File  variables.html ( 96.15k ) Number of downloads: 4

What are config settings ? - How an argument is being displayed EG : Pictures , background , alignment etc

What are variables ? - What/Which to display EG : battery , ram , cpu etc

How to learn conky ? - I suggest to launch any downloaded conky with ALT + F2 : conky ~/.conkyrc (depends on the conky configuration) and tweak/modify the .conkyrc file with any variables or settings that you wanted by relating the changes with what you have typed

Good Luck laugh.gif
