Hi sue_cinta,

As per spec list, the product supports the listed ram speed, with * means overclocking will be involved.

Thank you.

hello

i just bought a MSI Prestige Series PE70 2QE (17.3 inch) laptop. i am wondering where can i buy an original MSI laptop bag (backpack) that can fit my laptop? the complimentary shoulder sling/messenger bag is rather too small and i could not fit my cables and books in it.

thanks in advance.

Hi guys,

I have a MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard. For some reason today, when i try to power on the system, it wont boot. There is no post and no codes shown on the motherboard as well. Whats the likelyhood of it being dead and is there a way for me to verify (without an additional system) on what could be wrong? Any idea what else i could test? I took out the rams, the cmos battery but it still wont post.

Is there a way to waranty directly from MSI if its dead, or i have to go back to a retailer?

Thanks.

I can always try but i was expecting that to be a mobo problem. I am on a Seasonic 650W, but have unplugged all my GPU, HDD, etc and it still wouldnt post. There are LEDs all over the mobo lighting up so i did not suspect a PSU failure. Maybe i should retry with a different PSU.

Is there a PSU requirement for a mobo to post? FYI, i am on Intel Xeon (cant remember the model but the quad version). Would any PSU (i have a old Silverstone 500W Oympia series lying around) be able to verify that?

Thanks alot btw!

Try with that psu. If still cant on thats mean ur mobo problem. Btw that 650w already more than enough. Send ur mobo to the shop u buy it from

Hello,

I got hand on my 2nd MSI Z97 mobo which is Z97-G55 SLI... beside my earlier purchase/built with Z97 Gaming 5...

I noticed that both can used standard/normal RAM speed up to & between 1066/1333/1600MHz and has * for other speed (OC) 1866*/2000*/2133*/2200*/2400*/2600*/2666*/2800*/3000*/3100*/3200*/3300*

I have used 4x8GB RAM @ 1600MHz on my first build... but, for the OC listed RAM speed, I'm still not really understand...
Does it mean (let say), I bought a 2x8GB RAM @ 1866MHz (or higher)... can I paired it with my mobo? Do I need to "do something" to it?
Or, i just plug-and-play it in the RAM socket and my system will have RAM with 1866MHz speed?

Please help.. thanks.

afaik, u have to manually bump up the frequency. else it will just remain at the frequency that the cpu support (@1600).

Thanks bro for the feed back... I had bought the 4x8GB Kingston HyperX Fury 1866MHz and... at first, I wondered why my bios not showing any X.M.P menu...
After few research here and there, fortunately my RAM already run at it advertise speed which is 1866MHz rclxm9.gif

But, further question, can I bump this speed a bit more? Like 2000++ MHz?
