Hi guys,

I have a MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard. For some reason today, when i try to power on the system, it wont boot. There is no post and no codes shown on the motherboard as well. Whats the likelyhood of it being dead and is there a way for me to verify (without an additional system) on what could be wrong? Any idea what else i could test? I took out the rams, the cmos battery but it still wont post.

Is there a way to waranty directly from MSI if its dead, or i have to go back to a retailer?

Thanks.

I can always try but i was expecting that to be a mobo problem. I am on a Seasonic 650W, but have unplugged all my GPU, HDD, etc and it still wouldnt post. There are LEDs all over the mobo lighting up so i did not suspect a PSU failure. Maybe i should retry with a different PSU.

Is there a PSU requirement for a mobo to post? FYI, i am on Intel Xeon (cant remember the model but the quad version). Would any PSU (i have a old Silverstone 500W Oympia series lying around) be able to verify that?

Thanks alot btw!

Try with that psu. If still cant on thats mean ur mobo problem. Btw that 650w already more than enough. Send ur mobo to the shop u buy it from
