Dear Lacus, TechnoG,
I guess i'm unable to provide replacement. But i'll personally handle the RMA procedure for those who damage their card during the process. If there's any. Lol.

Dear chenhui87,
Since you are a Lowyat.NET user, you can always contact us for RMA advice. First of all, we need to check the hardware S/N to check its under which disti. From there on, arrangement can be made easily. Cheers.

Here is something to think about.
MSI having a direct online sales in here forum, something like Dell's model whilst retaining the distro & retailers, possible?

Thank you for the support.

Dear DarkNite,
Due to we have distributors in Malaysia and we are sales support team, it's impossible to do to offer Online Sales like Dell.

the rational of a normal user is that,
when a manufacturer sells something it would be cheaper than going over several hands

this is true for dell, as in great success Apple as their business concept includes Point of Sales too
but think about this

Online Sales is one point to selling stuff
managing it should be low in cost, but majority of normal user still prefers face to face dealings
this would then incur actual COD time or even a shop outlet to be set up

The next step from here is setting up stores
which only to cater to a single brand product (Apple Store)
This would means investment to facilities where other might provide (local shops) more efficiently
(Apple store works because they dun have the initial Fab investment, the manufacturing happens on another company, MSI and other mobo are manufacturer, which has it initial investment there)

SO if a mobo manufacturer do sells themselves
One of three scenario happens
1. They would sell cheaper than local reseller, but then no reseller would take their product to sell, since this is undercutting their profit. This would cut off more reaches in remote places (like how Apple store is only at Big cities)
2. They would sell higher than the market price, as to placate the reseller, but then again What is the point?
3. They would sell at the same price, but then again, how are they gonna govern the pricing, as even between reseller are some difference to the pricing

Basically all three would lead to one thing
More investment that does not gonna give good returns

so a manufacturer always have to rely on local distributor and reseller to reach out to the most
as the infrastructure is already there, why not use it.. right

it is how they control and supports them that is the deal breaker
as shown by MSI, which for me is considered excellent thumbup.gif

I did mention Dell cos Dell do have & support the 'brick & mortar' resellers. This idea hit me cos one of the 'teh tarik' member is the point person for Dell's resellers in Malaysia. And they do have different elements & structure for both types of sales to ensure both resellers and online purchase are satisfied. And not to mention their business customers too.

And yes not everyone will buy online but in here forum have many PC 'enthusiast' who are very comfortable with online purchase.

Sorry MSI-MY & fellow forummers for the OT.

Hi,

May I know roughly what is the pricing for the MSI e350? cause if it is not very high, perhaps it is not only applicable to HTPC market, it may fit into some of the embedded system like POS etc.

INTEL ATOM is doing extremely well in this piece of market but still it suffer some performance and heat issue that i think E350 may over come justify from what we have use from asus and gigabyte.

Beside that, If MSI malaysia decided not bring it to malaysia, will it be still any chance for us to do back to back order and what is the MOQ?
