Anything need to change for wiring and decoder ? Is Beyond using only HDMI connection for video and audio ? I just need to connect to my AVR right ?

U can use the coxial digital out if ur avr has it.

Hi, In fact I prefer to use HDMI only to connect to my AVR so that can do standby pass thru to my TV.

Hello...i previously the ASTRO MAX user..now i'm forced to upgrade the decoder to ASTRO PVR.

Interested to use the HDMI port to connect to my LCD tv, some how i got to know only for HD channel subscriber :-(

Any chance i can enable the HDMI on the decoder?

I don't want to upgrade to Byond since my condo is using the Master antenna and doesn't support Byond. no point paying extra RM20 but can't watch the HD channel.

Please i just want to connect to my TV and using the HDMI port available.Just don't understand why Astro must locked this features even though we are not getting HD channel without subscribing.

Pls pm me if anybony know the way.

p/s: I've called Astro CS just to enable the HDMIport..The answer is NO WAY without subscribing the HD channel.

You may try but most likely ass throw will block such connectivity.  Because this may open channels for others to records their programmes without paying them recording fees.

Out of curiosity how did they force you to upgrade? Did they call you up? I'm still using my MAX stb.

To be honest, I don't want to give up my astro max because I don't want to have to rip up my new entertainment centre to lay another cable for the new PVR. When it first came out there was some talk of something called a stacker-destacker but nothing since.

Unlike other people, my max stb works fine. A few niggles over the years but overall worth the MYR500 or so it cost. Ignoring my cable problem, I'd be happy with two years free recording in return for giving up the old box.

Yea. When is Astro gonna introduce us new HD channel. I just hate watching American Idol on SD while our friend in Singapore enjoy it in HD. Why Astro? WHY?!

Need some help!!

I stay in a 2-storey house. Currently, I am using the non-HD Astro and it is linked to my living room and upstair room via single decoder. Additionally,  I can change Astro channels from living room and upstair room (thru Transmitter Module) as well..

If I update to HD Beyond, can I link up to my living room and upstair room via single Beyond decoder and also change the channels from my living room and upstair room (thru Transmitter Module) as well ?
