Wat I meant was the HD digital and MPEG versions of others compared to ours,Most HD is upscaled on astro. Our quality is poor and very much compressed.Digital transmission has been postponed so many times. So to us those formats could be just a dream !

YES ! When u are left with the mercy of an only one,the scenario is same as a gun pointing at your head. brows.gif Subscribe or dont subscribe or who ask u to subscribe is not the issue the issue is for the betterment of things to come.By voicing our grievances Hopefully we hv better fare in future. notworthy.gif

I just had a look at that unifi tv things channels and they aren't that bad. There are quite a few on there I'd love to have on Astro.

grrrr. Still waiting for them to launch that fibre optic stuff where I live. They were burying cables in the road a few weeks ago. I'm hoping they were fibre optics!

I don't suppose there's a roll-out map, is there?

Yes pal, their fare is okay with many new addittions, the best part I like is the international content compared to Asian versions. Sad indeed they are too slow to expand!

Hi! Re Activation waiting period for B'Yond, I can confirm that Astro Cust Service states that there IS now a 14-day Wait For Activation!! NOT for installation...which is a separate matter.

However, the lady at the other end assured that the days "lost" ie w/o any Astro reception, wld b noted & deducted fr subsequent billing.

Also the no. of days to wait for activation may b less depending on the "Q"... ( on the same line of reasoning...the days can b more too, rite?)

On being asked if the activation waiting period is the same for NEW subscribers, her answer was "YES"!!

So....do old, existing, loyal(?) subscribers get any preference / advantange for being so...? A Big NO!!

Sorry, folks!

Off topic,

Nah mate, haven't seen in 32 years roll-out maps from TM. Trust me , they're utter unreliable on that part.
It will not be easy for you to guess where it's happening unless you see them by chance. There was some work in Cheras last month or so.

now Cheras is fully UNIFIED..

for new subscribtion, read this page
http://www.astro.com.my/newsubscription/ar...es/art_693.html

for HD activation you will need to add RM20 HD fee, currently 5 HD channels(AXNHD, AXNBeyondHD, OneHD, FxHD, FoodNetworkHD) are not tie to any packages, anyone with byond box with HD activated can watch these channels
