- NO automatic weekly recording schedule yeah I hated this as well. maybe if there are demands they would add this functionality
- NO way to DELETE recording after watching I dont miss this feature as I never delete anything. If HDD full, it will auto delete
- very CONFUSING interface, multiple steps to watch a recoding lettle known shortcut, press play button and you'll be taken away straight to your planner
- Whoever designed the user interface definitely NOT a AstroMax user or ever used a PVR before!!!! i hated the MAX, so not sure what to say
*
What i hate most but miss a lot is the going to the nearest channel function ,this was avaliable wiith older decorders now u hv to memorise every channel number to tune on if not the message "channel not avaliable" will pop on the screen. This is silly the decorder shld go to the next nearest channel. If i press 833 the channel shld go to 831 or 832,imagine the old folks how can they remember every channel number ? hmm.gif Now i understand the gist of being losers !! notworthy.gif

This is getting out of hand. Not sure why it's so difficult this time. I've sent this to Astro to settle. We'll see what they will say.

Well, I've helped you as much as I can but certain things are really out of my hands but I've not given up. My reputation as President of Astro CS in LYN is at stake here!  tongue.gif Anyway, will definitely give the feedback to Astro about this errant Installer.
*
Thanks bro. Finally my problem is solved in the evening after many calls made and received from both Astro and the installer.
At the end, I have to switch my decoder to my mom's place and vice versa as Astro messed up my accounts. Oh well, as long as we can view the channels we wanted.

Thank you very much to lapaq again. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

Lineup Revealed for Asia-Pac Pay-TV Summit
By Mansha Daswani
Published: January 31, 2011

HONG KONG: FOXTEL's Kim Williams, Astro's Rohana Rozhan, MNC Group's Hary Tanoesoedibjo and Tata Sky's Harit Nagpal are among the executives slated to speak at Media Partners Asia's second-annual Asia Pacific Pay-TV Operators Summit, set to be held in May in Bali.

Taking place May 11 to 13 at Bali's Ayana Resort, the Summit's confirmed speaker lineup also includes Fox International Channels' Hernan Lopez, Disney's Ben Pyne, DirecTV Latin America's Bruce Churchill, Discovery Networks International's Mark Hollinger, Dish TV India's Jawahar Goel, StarHub's Neil Montefiore, China Cable Network's Jiang Qinghan, Universal Networks' Roma Khanna; and MNC Sky Vision's Rudy Tanoesoedibjo, among others.

“These are critical times,” said Vivek Couto, executive director of the MPA. “Media and telecom distribution platforms are re-tooling product to meet shifting consumer demand as well as the challenge that comes with broadband technology, new policies, piracy, and fragmentation. APOS 2011 brings together leaders from a wide range of geographies to gauge how platforms can conquer the consumer by building stronger partnerships with channel brands, content originators, investment groups and technology enablers.”

This was already complained by many people in LYN 1 year ago and it is still not fixed.

Now you know why astro is nickname 'ass throw'.

I used to be able to press favorite button to cycle through the channels in my old astro device but this new 'improved' version cannot do that in one press.

*ahem* (if you haven's done so) you also need to connect Astro Byond audio-out to the HT. I don't think your system has a digital in, so just plug the composite AV (red and white terminals) to the back of the HT.

Yang positif:
QUOTE
MIG Productions Sdn.

It will be Failure First soon. Not all movie producers will sell their films to Astro to telecast. If no supply, Astro will always play the same old movies and will soon close shop. Majority movie producers boycotts Ass-throw since Ass-throw only cares for their own pocket.
