We were waiting for discovery HD prior to Starworld HD and we are still waiting !!

Friend, I think Astro fare is just like those wives we just cannot live without them !! We hv also to see this way ,those who just take family pack end up paying another RM20 for just for 5 rojak channels, I still feel its unfair there shld not be HD fees.

I beg to differ,astro is not luxury but a neccesity for some. Many of us cannot even recive our very own FTA channels clearly despite those aerials and hv to take Astro just for reception sake so here it becomes a neccesity. The govt is very unfair it shld direct astro to distribute these FTA Govt. channels FOC and not put them in the family pack and sell for RM37.95 ! Anybody who has astro shld be entitled to Govt.channels FOC.Even u cut astro ,astro CANNOT not cut the reception of Govt.channels. Astro is a neccesity but has been made look like luxury and as usual our minister wld say who ask u to subscribe ,when he also knows that even a fair reception of govt. channels is not possible without the astro dish!

FTA channels are legal, but our law does not permit us use a large dish to recieve those. In asia I know Singapore and Malaysia does not allow such big dishes.Basically for personal gains .

Correction !! Maybe its not bahasa malaysia but bahasa melayu! If it was B.Malaysia then we shld hv subtitles like suggested.

No, I took MCE,I wonder if u know wat that means,You took SPM ? BTW this thread is for Astro Beyond and this is not the issue here. Check your astro box it states sarikata bahasa melayu which means subtitles in malay not subtitle in National Language, its where u use the term,here sarikata bahasa melayu is correct. >

Along with South India's largest Media house- Sun TV Group, Malaysia's telecom giant Maxis and Media magnet Astro find themselves in the muddy puddle of great Indian scam- 2G Spectrum Scam. A report in a section of the Indian media, had said that investigators are probing the transaction between Sun TV Group and Astro as part of general probe into the 2G Scam.
The report said that the government granted licenses to Aircel and Dishnet Wireless in 2006 while the applications of other companies were still pending. Aircel is owned by Malaysia's Maxis group. Astro All Asia Networks is also owned by Ananda Krishnan, the proprietor of Maxis.
The then telecom minister, Dayanidhi Maran, is the brother of Kalanidhi Maran, Founder of Sun TV Network. In 2007, Astro has purchased stake in Sun Network for Rs.3,320 crore at a time when Sun had not started operations and had projected losses of $166 million in the first five years of operations.

Astro is phasing out Max so frankly speaking we dont hv much of a choice then to accept their offer and change to beyond. Holding on to Max is not of any help cos it is no more compatible,and the provider is replacing it. Earlier Astro had phased out the 1st generation decorders and twice our smartcards remember ?Thats why now they play smart most of the tools to recive astro are given FOC which means its thier property. But once ur smartcard is faulty, for nothin u must pay RM80!

I had Max and swapped it for 2yrs free reording service.We hv no other choice pls try to understand. Max is not compatible for HD and the truth is my max was never stable since the day I had it. Recordings go missing all the time ! Morever ,Pls refer the subscription agmt, nothing is in our favour.!!I suggest let Max go and grab the offer. Morever this swap is also to prevent selling of recorded material.I guess with Max u can transfer the recorded material but Beyond u cannot,so here its to protect thier interest. Max cannot support current services and cannot be upgraded. Lost is Lost I lost RM999!!

You pay xtra RM20 u wl be entitled to whatever HD channels availiable in ur current pack.

Agreed PLs take the PVR !!

Perhaps they are too busy with IPTV !! Perhaps still discussing with providers to make ROJAK channels !!
