QUOTE(jalsrix @ Jan 8 2011, 05:49 PM) One HD audio should be in original Korean language because that is more natural than those fake dubbed language (look at 391 ). There is a small korean community living in Malaysia. Subtitles should be in malay, english, chinese and should be selectable for non-koreans. There are many foreigners living in Malaysia that only knows English (eg. arabs, africans ) Maybe ass-throw wants to save money by not hiring english and chinese translators ? Yeah I second your opinion on subtitles. But the dub is okay what. Those atuk nenek live in kampung can also enjoy the channel. You still can change it to original Korean audio. Just change your preferred audio in setting for English.

The best is dubbed in different languages for all Malaysian viewers. (Like the Natgeo WILD) Satu......? Malaysia Satu......? Malaysia Satu.......?Malaysia Or else, leave it as its native language & provide different languages subtitles. Fair

I like it when everything people talk about in Lowyat forum becomes another one of those malay/chinese/india/others squabble.
It just shows how mature people are here. but then again, it's teh intarweb...maybe I shouldn't expect too much out of it.

QUOTE Moving on news-wise, the other big story for local football must be the lifeline that Astro have thrown to the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM).
In the aftermath of the expiry of Telekom Malaysia’s long-term sponsorship tie-up with FAM, Astro has brought a breath of fresh air to the local football scene. If we look back to UK in the last century, we will note that in 1992, Sky Sports bought the rights to the English Premier League and the EPL has never looked back since.
I feel that Astro will revolutionise the coverage of local football and maximise the exposure of teams and players. This is just great news and great timing too, in my opinion, as there are so many young budding talents waiting to raise the level of their game, and in effect enhance the prestige of Malaysian football.
Like the lyrics to an old song from Royston Sta Maria and Francesca Peters (better known as the duet, Roy&Fran), “tak kenal maka tak cinta” (we cannot love what we don’t know), now is the time for us Malaysians to recognise and follow the development of these players as well as our national team.
I, for one, am hoping to watch Amar Rohidan and Safee Sali in action every week.
I am also hoping that like Sky Sports in England, Astro will advise FAM that the kick-off time for matches are organised properly. This is in order to maximise the viewership with the whole nation watching the matches at the right time and by default increasing Astro’s commercial viability. http://lite.themalaysianinsider.com/opinio...l-football-fansThis post has been edited by Qash-M: Jan 8 2011, 09:49 PM

QUOTE(pokemon @ Jan 8 2011, 03:50 PM) With closed caption, the subscriber can disable the irritating BM subtitle from appearing. Also, Ass-throw should give more options like, maintain the dub mandarin language at One HD for chinese subscribers. Channel 393 = under the channel group of 300s where the main subscribers are chinese. Thanks pokemon, now I understand that...

For now they wld divert the attention to Asstro First, which may carry all movies or replace ABO ?! Now ABO Tayangan Hebat has no purpose if wat Eric said is confirmed. If its for only Malay movies then it cld be standalone cos putting it in Movie Pack wld be too expensive. They rule the nation now their next target, the Cinemas !!!! Reading more about them rumors on Astro First.
If it's true...I would prefer this over ABO. ABO only gets the latest Malay movies after 3-6 months. But if AF can give it to me within the first month and I can choose which movie I want (rather than the so-so they give me every month).
I don't even have to go to the movies with my wife anymore. Now that I have a 2 months old boy, going to the movies is a definite no-no as I don't have anyone to take care of my son.
Pricing wise, better be cheaper than 2 tickets to the movies. If not I'm definitely not going to buy this.
