I'm having the 24/1.4 and loving it. Won't be getting the 35mm cos of the stupid filter size. When I need 35mm I'll put it on a DX camera.
All the good lenses... 24-70, 24-120, 17-35, 28-300, 16-35, 80-200, 70-200, 84/1.4 have 77mm filter size. Only the 35mm is the odd one out. Added on November 17, 2010, 7:39 pm QUOTE(edwardgsk @ Nov 17 2010, 02:27 PM) Why need 77mm filter? The bigger the filter size the more money you have to pay for filter no? Its about buying and maintaining only one set of filters. When you buy a RM6k lens u dont really care if the filter is RM100 or 200 or 300... In fact, I prefer to have smaller size lens too. 85mm is already damn bulky on my D300 And old timers with a collection of lenses dont like to buy all their filters again just for one lens. A lens is just one component of an entire system, so all parts must play nice. This post has been edited by adriancs: Nov 17 2010, 07:39 PM |

Just curious. Which wide angle lens is good for a DX body? Usually for group photos.
