I plan to use the camera for a long period of time since I am not into photography that much. Just want to have a good camera since I will be traveling to a distant land far far away...
I am afraid with the introduction of D7000, D90 will become a dinosaur.
How long can I expect to use this camera and not carrying a dinosaur? 
Is 8 years reasonable?

I use it straight away at wedding. And 8 pcs last me the whole day

Yeah, the DOF in 85mm f/1.4 is thinner. But the background both already bokeh till that level can't see much differences LOL. Maybe should try with a candle light source at the back . Then can see some light bokeh.

Yikes, the 35mm doesn't come with a 77mm filter? Damn, guess my next prime would be the 24mm f/1.4G. Am deciding between them LOL. Having 77mm filter is important, so I can share my CPL filter.

Unless the IQ is superior compared to 24mm, else gonna skip that! .
