At RM 205 is pretty good price. IMHO, I don't see a point to purchase/spend on a CPL for the kit lens. 58mm filters is not easy for re-use in the future once you upgrade lens.

No issue one, as long as you have the warranty slip and receipt, you are off for good. When you claim for warranty, you need these two documents. biggrin.gif

I bought my 55-250mm also registered under the previous user with 2 1/2 years warranty that time. rclxms.gif

Recently sold off my friend's 75-300mm and I only registered for her after 1 year passed. laugh.gif Still manage to secure another 2 years warranty. Canon CS rocks. rclxms.gif The buyer was so happy. laugh.gif

Wow thanks! That's really reassuring!

Walao! 1 year past already and still can register ar? Canon's CS really rocks eh biggrin.gif

Its quite an expensive investment to buy a rm 200+ CPL for a kit lens

Plus once u upgrade to a better lens u will have a problem..

With RM 200 + I would certainly recommend a 50mm 1.8 just top up a lil more..

This is just my 2 cents.. icon_rolleyes.gif

The problem is 58mm. Buying something like CPL or ND filter, you got to make it usable on all lenses with different thread.

If you get one 77mm CPL, you can get one set of step up right and it will be usable for all range of lenses (with different thread size).
But for a 58mm CPL, not much lenses can utilize it (especially those with above 58mm filter thread). Hence, I say it's not a very good investment.

However, if you are very sure that you gonna stick with the 18-55 for very long time, then it's pretty much justified.
