@ianho i was referring to the other ian! haha.

@(i forget who), not gonna buy a tilt-shift just to take a handful of building photos in a year, lol. so the 'leaning back' look sucks, huh? okok imma try straighten it out in PS and see how it looks. Thing is the short focal length distorts the perspective (i.e. the 'bottom' floor looks way longer/taller in comparison with the rest of the building) ... hmm ... time to google, haha.

Generally speaking, it will do just about everything coz it's the best all rounder IMO. It's big, it's tough, it does everything FAST. Once customized to ur style of shooting, it snaps the instant u mash down the shutter button. There's no waiting, no lag. The AF locks on like a heat seeking missile almost instantaneously.

The price drains ur wallet fast but it sure is fast. I call it Speedy Gonzalez. Haha.

Who told u? If the OVF is blacked out during 10fps then how we gonna shoot sports la. U think we simply shoot blindly at 10fps kah? laugh.gif

Why do I get the feeling that with every post you submit in this thread you're always insinuating something about Sony that's one way or another better than Canon?

The first thing that came into my mind when I read this was something about that new Sony camera, with that translucent mirror or something. If I remember correctly, one of its advertised features is that it has no mirror blackout. Are you actually going to cite that in a later post and say Sony > Canon? doh.gif

1DMkIV is a great camera. I have it. The AF is fast, much better than the 5DMkII. But it is not fullframe... so sometimes, cannot get wide enough with just the 24-70 lah. Other than that, nothing bad about it. A bit heavy, but nothing more than a 5DMkII with grip. The battery life is great. Can shoot over 1500pics per charge. It doesnt' have built-in flash, so have to slot in the 580 whenever u feel like flashing someone. biggrin.gif The high ISO noise control is good too. But if given the choice, I'd take the D3s. Body manyak tough..... but even when I know it is tough, I handle it with care and don't bump into things. Never tried it's water resistance, because she's my baby. Shutter sound is great, both while shooting single frames or 10fps. thumbup.gif Why? Wanna buy ah? brows.gif Buy mine lah.. hahahahahahahaa... pristine condition... at the same time, clear off all my canon inventory.. then I can join Ianho's german gang.

Sony need translucent mirror coz they put 10fps into a cheap camera. Cheap Mirror assemblies cannot cope with flapping around at 10fps. laugh.gif
