Hi, I just bought a 550D 18-55mm kit in SG today at S$1,200

The shop is I purchased from I must say they provide damn good customer service. Highly recommended.
It's very hard to get this kind of sellers nowadays in Msia.
The seller was very polite and humble and patiently brief me on the usage etc.

But now too bad I cant test the camera yet as he told me need to charge the battery for 7 hrs.
I've attached the name card for your reference.

Been there once, indeed they are damn friendly and warm. They will make sure you are not left alone the moment you stepped in the shop eventhough they have a massive crowd to handle. Price wise so so but it's their service that makes you come back for more the next time you hunt for new stuff.

I'm somehow skeptical and usually I will charge 8 hours whenever I buy new toys. tongue.gif Perhaps used to this practice.

If the price difference is significant, why not? Lens can't undergo sex change so no need to worry so much buying from Thailand. LuLz

LOL

I went back to Peninsula Plaza yesterday and found Cathay Photo. Huge.

Coming back later today, spent quite a bit on this trip altogether. brows.gif

I saw the promotion for the 50mm 1.8 at $60 too. Dirt cheap. $1200 for the kit isn't really worth it though, it's cheaper in Malaysia.

I think $1,200 (RM2,880 at 2.4) is still reasonable as I saw some forummers here also sell between RM2,800 to RM2,900.

Me too wanted to grab this baby...

Yup... will make interesting photos

1) 50mm family portrait

2) viking's camera extended family portrait (like the canon lens lineup pic)... and pp some silhouette for those few lens that's still missing from the collection.
