Much better than Suny heh? Like what I always mention to them, it's just the matter of time before they move on to something better. tongue.gif

haha. many of them are still waiting for the A700 replacement. And they've been saying that since 2008 i think.

QUOTE(vikingw2k @ Nov 27 2010, 09:43 PM)
In other words, what you pay is what you get. Certain times they are certain people who claim their nifty-fifty is damn sharp at wide open bla bla bla. Whether it's sharp at wide open or not we wouldn't know cause you might get a slightly sharper copy, but it's a known fact f1.2 better than f1.4 better than f1.8 so stop telling whole world f1.8 is sufficient. I always believe it's all down to what you can afford.

talk about value for $$$ it is f1.8 la.

f1.2 certainly is best, just that cost vs performance may not be everyone's ideal.

but i think nothing wrong with whoever saying f1.8 is sufficient. for me, my take is for the average person who's not picky and all the f1.8 is really sufficient. for those with more critical purpose, f1.8 wouldn't be the 50mm to look at already, minimum also go for the 1.4 for the overall build quality and better performance, i find it locks faster and more accurately. less hunting. not like my f1.8 klik klok klik klok.

oh... I mean they are asking for printing it... should I be printing it or let them?...

They want to pay... but I think... of those circumstances pictures.... I'm afraid I would have to deny it... I mean judging from those pictures... is it worth it to get paid?  sweat.gif
question is - are they happy with it?

some couples not demanding wan la.

if they're happy with it then just print for them la. get them to pay the printing cost enough, the rest you say give to them as gift la. smile.gif

Come to think of it, my friend ajak me to shoot alongside him for his friend's wedding sweat.gif

The problem is that both of us are very new 550D owners and he's pretty confident of taking up that job as a OP, overlooking the gravity of the situation. He did tell his friend that he's very new in this and that not to expect much from him.It seems his friend insisted he take up the job. So should i join him? If at the end of the day, the result is sucky then i'll be in dipshit also

p/s: He only has a 550D +50 lens. Not even a bag! Memory card also only 2GB WTF. His money got burnt when he bought his 550D set sweat.gif
*
no. if his friend insists then that's their problem la. tongue.gif cos you MADE IT CLEAR and if they still want, sure - go ahead take the chance.

good point. i should add all this into my article.

btw do get an 18-55 IS at least la, cheap cheap RM 300 also better than nothing right?

i think ian or donno who tested it before. Sigma 50 f1.4 is better in sharpness from center to the corners.

Sharpness anytime better than Canon 50mm f1.4. AF is better than Canon's anytime. It does hunt at times but not that bad.
biggrin.gif price tag already 50% more than the Canon variant, it really had to justify the price.

his point is any DSLR also nice for newbie la.

in fact even 500D actually can do so many things already, most people don't even bring these entry-level bodies to their true potential.

What protection you use? I need it liao sad.gif
with knowledge and understanding, poison is nullified. biggrin.gif

if i really want, by now also donno how many L already.

most people poisoned by bokeh la but look at the best photos in the world, they're not bokefied photos.

talk to the pros, you'll see that they find bokeh is like an "Easy way out" on things. no challenge wan, take photo background blur. imaging couple pay you to snap photo in Paris, you want to f1.2 all the way blur out all the background ah?

try going for competition or stock photo - you're never penalized for the lack of bokeh creaminess, unless it's distracting. but you often get penalized, or even considered fail when there's not enough detail or lack of DOF.
