Thanks Kiding. I found 1 pretty good deal from Mudah, RM600 for Paradox SP6000 set (no PIR, add RM80 for it), and installation for about RM800 to RM1000, same price for casing or conceal type installation. They will install this Saturday.

2 x keypad
1 x external alarm
1 x internal alarm
9 x vibration sensors
2 x magnetic sensors

PS: they recommend copper wiring for the whole root top (or 5 motion sensors at RM1300)

2 magnetic sensors? Only the door? What happen to the window?
I guess your internal alarm refer to the alarm sound, rights?

Windows, assuming with steel frame, it will use vibration sensor.

You need to check how many zone system they give you, and is it possible to add more zone?

just installed paradox SP5500 for my single storey teres (9 vibration, 1 motion, 2 magnetic, 2 keypads, 2 sirens, 8 Zones). RM1500 excluding cabling.

Using copper wiring for the roof top so any break in from roof top will trigger the alarm as long as the copper wire has been broken; better than motion sensor which has dead zone or cause many invalid triggering which could be due to rat, insect and etc.

anyone know how to fine tune the sensitivity of this model?

thx

i got kids in my house.. sometimes kids like to slam doors very hard, that cause my neighbours alarm to go off... Sometimes, the wind pushes my door and slams the door very hard -> neighbours alarm goes off..

As for my house, I set my shock sensor such that it only detects double shock before it triggers the alarm. Actually, all alarms can do that.. you just have to read the manual on how to program the shock sensor..

My wireless alarm was fried by lightning. Does anyone know any alarm system (including Paradox) has warranty against lightning strike? If got, i would rather have a mid range alarm system with good lightning warranty than sophisticated one which will be fried soon!

Actually Paradox does provide a lightning arrestor. This will reduce the risk but your chance is still 50-50 and there is still no warranty on it. I live is relatively high land area and have 2 alarm casualties to prove it!

Winson just installed Paradox SP6000 alarm at my house for RM2000. My house is a semi-d unit and there are quite a number of sensors. Some he put both shock & door sensor. He did the wiring about 3 weeks ago and installed the alarm today. He didn't take a single cent from me until after everything is done, which is after he explain how to set up the alarm. He's quite talkative. I think he's a dependable and honest person.

The only negative thing is that his wiring worker did not clean up the mess after they hack the walls to conceal the wires. I had to ask and pay my renovation contractor to clean-up the mess and seal the walls.

His company has a website (i saw it from the bill) - http://ots2u.com/

Why don't you call Winson and get his quotation for the stuff that you require. I think mine is not as complicated as yours... I don't have remote control but I have all possible entry covered with magnetic and/or vibration sensor.. I think rooftop he installed some special sensor, not the same one for the doors & windows. Actually Winson is the 2nd person I approached, the first one I got from Houz Depot. They want to charge me RM5000.. which is quite ridiculous..
