hello everyone,

just wonder did anyone check with ADT how's their package like? is it very expensive for just an standard alarm system for a DS house?

i feel ADT stand by it's name in term of support and etc.

sourcing for alarm system as well for my house which is in renovation now.

cheers

I am using a Paradox SP 6000 system in my house currently. The ADT system was cheaper however teh drawback was teh monthly payment of RM 75/= for 2 years. They only call you and tell you your alarm has gone off. If they cannot get you or your desiganted numbers they call the police. With my Paradox my alram calls me and my designate numbers. It only does not call authorities. In the long run i feel my Paradox system saves cost.

After 2 years then up to you if you want to use ADT service or not. You can continue if not u can continue to use the alarm without CMS. About RM 800-1000 (depending on the number of points-sensors) cheaper. In the long run you pay the diff and more in the 2 yeras smile.gif

Dst corner lot use sp6000 enough ? I see the package only one keypad , is that normal ? Cos nowadays alarm comes with 2 keypad. Any reliable vendor from jb area ? Thanks

I stay in a double storey corner lot, in JB as well, using SP6000. I have 2 keypads, one downstairs somewhere near my main door, another in my bedroom upstairs. I think there are only 2 authorized installer for Paradox in JB (the last time I checked late last year. Mine was from Arrowtec, can't remember the other one. However their prices are more expensive than the prices in KL.

BTW you are at which part of JB?

I also got quote from ADT, their prices are more ex than paradox (in jb) plus need to pay monthly fees so they are out for me. According to the ADT guy, my precint only 3 household use ADT. However ADT is very popular in SG.

Hi all
Does anyone know of a good Paradox installer in Klang Valley/Puchong? My system was set up by Winson, but unfortunately some sensors are not working and he is not picking up his phone (since Chinese New Year).
I did PM hysiew as she may have contacts with Winson, and hopefully she can reply me soon, but in the mean time, I would like to know if there's any other Paradox installer out there, and if they are willing to help repair/upgrade my current system (adding some sensors etc).
Thanks a lot folks!

I'm using ADT since 2009. So far they r good. Monthly CMS RM78 for 3years. After 3years, can continue for CMS. Safety is more important for me.

Trdchuckie, don't mind sharing more about ADT? Their advertisements and website are not very clear on what they will provide for RM75 (?). For example, will they provide the alarm system (sensor, siren, etc?)?

Rm75.00 is Central monitoring system. let say ur alarm triggered due to buglary, fire(got smoke detector also in their package) and the signal will send to their CMS. The customer service will call u asap. if u're not answering then they will call the other designated number by u. if no answer from numbers given, they call up the nearest police station and asking the police to have a look at ur house.

if suddenly u feel unhealthy and really need an ambulance, just press the button and signal will be send to CMS. they staright away call for nearest ambulance or call u. it depends on ur request at early stage b4 setup.

the magnetic conatct, vibration sensor, roof motion sensor, hall motion sensor, in house siren, out door siren is all in their package. up to u what u wan to use. better call them to visit ur house and get quoation first. then u'll get a clear pic.

my house is going through renovation now.. i was wondering should i be engaging the alarm supplier now so that they can do the wiring first?
if my assumption above is correct, i should be pay in full for the alarm package and then the supplier will need to come twice, 1st put in the concealed wiring, 2nd fix the sensor everything once renovation completed?

It is depend but normally you only pay deposit and then remaining after UAT. For my case, no deposit at all and only pay after job completed smile.gif
