The whole button sunken in? No worries I guess, that module is by its own and replaceable.

Your trackpad sunk in quite badly. It's common for Blackberry trackpads to sink a little but yours is err... quite bad.

Not sure about torch but I actually put a small piece of aluminum foil under my Bold's trackpad to raise it a little.

the place where i put pressure on is actually quite loose , feel very plastic . i'm still wondering which part broke and get it fix .

Edit : i got some replies off crackberry.com and i don't really get what they trying to say though .

I'm guessing the panel is just adhered there with double-sided tape. Power down (Edit: battery pull) and try pressing the panel back into place. If you're still under warranty, get it exchanged. Otherwise go to Faceplate | Housing | Repair parts | Accessories | Mobile parts - Cellular Accessories | Mobile and watch their 9800 tear down video to see how the buttons are attached. If it's just tape, you can order the double sided tape and tools to fix it at cnn.cn .

Yup, confirm your trackpad sunk. I'm not sure if replacing a trackpad would help but if it does, a new trackpad will cost about 60-100 depending on where you get it fixed.

Nothing's broken bro, don't worry. The top row of buttons is actually just a thick plastic sticker, so it's quite flimsy.

i think this is not the trackpad problem. u need to check the parts under the trackpad. i mean on the main board inside.

Hi people, just got this phone. My first Blackberry! Even the CPU is kinda underpowered but you won't feel it that much and noticeable. I'm having a hard time to select what kind of BIS plan I should get though.

Hi bro, welcome to the family. Actually, I'm out of the family already but whatever lah.

You have to tell us what carrier you're on right now and you're using prepaid or postpaid.

Out of the Torch family only, still a Blackberry lover. Hotlink prepaid, I would recommend you to go for BIS Bonus 20. Blackberry don't work over wifi or normal iPhone data plan, you need to get your BIS activated before you can add contacts on BBM, in fact you need your BIS for everything.

I am planning to change from iPhone to Blackberry. At the moment i kinda like Torch's design with slide out keyboard. Don't want the fully touchscreen Torch. is it worth to buy 9800 or 9810 now?

yup, definitely, or i should advice you to hold / view in front of your naked eye the latest 9380 / 9790 / 9900 white.

back to the 9800 talk, anyone got a major problem with the front slide? combo problem(s) such as trackpad malfunction, touchscreen very sensitive-less. thinking of changing it but dont know how much it will cost my friend's pocket -.-!

Get the 9810 bro, everybody that had used both will agree that the 9810 is twice as good as the 9800 but the price is just a lil' more expensive only. Check around the forum bro, I think 1.5k can get new AP 9810, 9800 used is about 700-800 now.
