got less than 15 active gals here. 3 to 5 should be a good number.

I think start with the basics first. Active mod, rules tweaking and the keenness of girl forumers to spot any breaches.

Problem with rating system is that people may abuse it. It may create false judgment too.

It is about respect. If girls only comment are wanted then they should be entittled to it.

It would not be easy to come up with a ways to determine the sex.

You are not "entitled" to anything. Being on the forum is a privilege, not a right. If you feel that your rights (like the right to not being harassed) have been violated, then report that person.

If someone doesn't respect you, it's because you haven't earned it yet.

We all know women love to belittle others, and because chances of 2 girls fighting over a guy is so minute, that will mean they will spend most of their time belittling men, and of course, they will deny it is sexist and call it "fact".

I think you should go into politics. You love to argue for the sake of arguements.

Admin (se7en) is looking at accomadating the request. That is responsive management. I dont see what you need to continue with rights and privilege.

Anyway, to think in the moderator perspective:

1) Who so free to 'stalk' and check the reply style of particular member? Its not like mod are paid to do so, or they have too much time to spare without their own life to live with.

2) Provided that it is really working to identify guy pretending to be gal. Can u ensure mod wont banned gal reply in guy style accidentlly?

3) In developer perspective, u think so easy to go into the HTML of the forum to add one extra tag and set functionality rules to disallow guys to reply? To banned member with guys tag is okay. To manually banned them, refer to the first point.

4) If this idea is really approve in the end, i would request for another thread only for guys. Otherwise, sexism issues confirmed will occur and extra problems + headache for LYN. While adding anothet thread for guys also created problems, consider girls thread got one "The bad things about guys" and guys thread got "The bad things about girls". In the end, to begin with this idea is problems + problems + problems...... need further thinking?

So, i still suggest gals who wan to go with this idea, do:

Go inside the room and invite girls only to talk about the girly subjects.
When people of opposite gender enter the room, try to ask him out.
While if he dont, ignore his existence and whatever he say.
In the end, the girly subjects still goes on and the extra comments will not affect anything.
Win for the gals.

You're right. Girl's club is a privilege, to Girls by the management. With privilege, comes exclusivity. Why are you harping on it? Because you're not eligible? That is the only reason I could think of why you would try to drawdown the exclusivity given to girls in lyn to every other existing subforums.
