So, should i insist to bf only..no mix with formula?
even no milk, keep give bb latch on..
then should i bring the breast pump to hospital to massage/stimulate?

My friends all ask me dont be so serious..makes me a bit demotivated..

the best stimulate comes from the baby's suckling.

let the hospital know that you want to breastfeed your baby. they will respect that.
you may ask for nurse to teach you on how to latch etc. since this is your 1st baby,
i believe they will be very happy to assist.

in breastfeeding, strong determination is one of the key factor.

i wish you all the best smile.gif

No shower is a Chinese pantang ya?

As for engorgement, mine lasted for 2 days.

According to Ministry of Health Malaysia and WHO, first 6 months should be breastmilk only, no nid water.

Agree ~ because BF contain 88% of water ~ so don't worry .... fully breastfeed is the best rclxms.gif

Ive just bought fenugreek seeds in hopes of boosting my milk supply, can experienced parents share some suggestions on whats the most effective recipe with the fenugreek seeds? Boil with water? Eat directly?

Parent and baby both can try Fresh Goats Milk.
Goat's Milk is alkaline and rich in nutrients and calcium. Their protein molecule is 5x smaller than cow's milk. You can contact my delivery man at 017-2822119. my kids like it, so am I. They stay healthy I spend less money. hehe. hope this help.

Hi there,

Not so sure about the problem.

However, did your wife taking any meals or drinks everyday.
Don't forget to drink plain water too.
Basically, the body has to have some source from where it want to produce the breast milk.
So the mother has to eat and drink too.

Do you want to try Shaklee ESP soy milk?
It can enhance the breast milk production.

Should let the baby latch as frequent as possible. When the baby latches on, there is signal to the brain that the baby's hungry, and gradually she will start to produce more.

Side track : I used to take 20 minutes for me to clear both breasts, and since 2 months ago I've been using up 6 hours to pump per day (1hour - 2hours per session). Baby is now 13 months old and I'm contemplating to slow down a bit. I'm gradually reducing the pumping time to 20 minutes (whatever amount I can get in 20 minutes without fully emptying the breasts) and the supply has dropped a little. My production peak was 36oz per day whereby I get to freeze 12oz for donation daily - now it's slowly going down to 30 - 33oz per day and I'm having lumpy (.)(.)
I'm hoping that I don't have to mix with formula any time soon. I followed my industrial nurse's advice and I'm tweaking my pumping schedule.
Any experienced mummy here knows how to deal with engorged and lumpy (.)(.)? I really don't want another session of mastitis. On the other hand, I'm not supposed to fully empty the girls as that'll make me produce more. I'm scheduled to pump every 5-5.5 hourly. TIA!

Not the supplement to boost milk but just supplement to make BF mom healthier.

My wife took Shaklee supplements.

Omega Guard for fish oil

Osteomatrix for calcium

Other Energy and Milk Booster of Breatfeeding Mother's choice are:

Energizing Soy Protein (ESP)
Vita-C
Vita Lea
Alfalfa complex
B-Complex (Vitamin)
Osteo-Matrix

Hope this helps

My friend's daugther coming to one month. and she have alot of red spots like rashes on her face. i see her picture, quite severe to me. The mother told that one of her friend as a doctor said it is normal for baby who breastfed to have rashes like that and it will somehow go off by time. the mother in law said is milk rashes but mommy itself thinks is like eczema.

The mother breastfeed the girl. she also mixed with formula because baby just cant get enough from mother. keep demanding. she also wondered if she did breastfeed the baby right way.

Questions here are:

1. Is it normal that baby to have rashes like that over her face? What actually causes the rashes?

2. How to relieve the rashes if so?

3. My friend would like to look for a breastfeeding consultation, where she should look for one?

Thank you.

Hi,

1. My daughter also has few rashes on her face and also on her neck. We suspect its because of the milk and also sometimes she vomits the milk spill over her face. Maybe 10pc caused by sweat.

2. What we did was we apply very small amount of Pureen Nappy Rash Cream on the affected area. We also wipe her cheek often with wet napkin of luke warm water. Also apply baby oil or baby lotion after each bathing session before wear her clothes.

3. I dont have information on these. But me n my wife were given little information about BF by nurses and also from our colleagues. May I know what is her concern of?

:-)
