hmm, actually nothing much about the freebies.

Get a Razer BW then you will got a free Razer cap.
Then, since you get the BW already, so can purchase a mouse mat at a bundle price.
The lanyard is free gift then stick with the purchase of mouse mat, so we cant say that the lanyard is free gift that bundled with the BW purchase.

aluminium is cold when touching especially in an air conditioned room doh.gif that is why i am not particularly found of metalic keycaps.

Plastic should be sufficient. Not to mention metalic keycaps are costly doh.gif

I love metalic key caps but not shiny slippery aluminium.

i just get ASDW and ESC key total of 4 keys first, yes they are kinda cold, but i don't think that's the problem. As for Slippery part, you can have 4 types of surface.

Just tried Razer BW in PIKOM fair. I must say that I'm really impressed how light is the Cherry MX Blue switch compared to rubber dome keyboard.

I think rubber dome keyboard would be like MX Black kind of force.

I decided to go with MX Blue cause I think the noise is not that bad. I like the tactile clicky feeling.

Anybody want to ship from PChome together?

Here is the review

http://www.hardwareheaven.com/reviews/838/...troduction.html

I don't think it is. Funny how the reviews for keyboards tend to neglect to mention the difference between rubberdome and mechanical keyboards; as if they were on equal footing which they are not.

Maybe it's because they get free gear so they omit certain facts to make the keyboard a better buy doh.gif heh.

it ship fast, but when comes with big package, you guys need to watch out with @#$% msia customs. which will drag the package longer.
and might get charge for duty or text.

I've done many overseas purchases so i know how crappy Malaysian customs are.

Delays getting through customs. In worse case scenario; if your item does gets taxed; you need to head down to the airport yourself and pay the tax before they release it.

These days my packages arrive at my doorstep and no tax or any other further incident.

The only bad thing likely to happen is if i receive a package via the local Poslaju and i am not in; they may keep my packgage at their distribution center and i'd have to go collect it myself.

From experience; DHL, EMS, Fedex will deliver to my doorstep, so i've come to like those better than Poslaju.

Anyway some random facts

QUOTE
They both actuate at the same point, but for the blue switches to actuate a second time, you have to bring the key all the way up. With browns, you just need to bring the key above the actuation point.

Since that "feature" of the blues causes problems if you don't lift the key all the way up in games, browns are generally considered better. Some people don't have issues with the blue switches since they naturally release the key fully no matter what. It's generally more noticeable the faster you have to repeat the key press, as you're less likely to bring the key up fully then.

I'm not really a hardcore gamer and I don't find myself needing that extra few milliseconds to double tap, so I guess Blue suits me.

I love the sound too, just afraid sometimes will disturb others.

Just bought the BlackWidow and currently having a hard time with the font on the keyboard as well as the funny placement of the 'shift characters'.

As my first mechanical keyboard, this brings me back to the good ol' days when I toyed with my dad's computer. Feels a bit like a typewriter (of which I used extensively when I was young), and the clickiness sure makes me want to type even more =D

If anyone is into mechanical keyboard, I wouldn't advise the BlackWidow because it defers too much from the norm. Thus, it would take time to acclimatize and if you have a different keyboard at work, you would be better off with something more "similar".

mostly our hands have too much force to write on a keyboard. if you really wanted to buy a mechanical, i suggest you guys read alot reviews among those 3 types of cherry MX switch, because after you purchase those switches, you'll be require to train how to control your force and avoid bottoming the keys all the time. and that's most efficient for type writers
