Time to sell my 7g O.o. I wonder whats the secondhand value.
*
Are you serious??
Ya, I agree that filco is good keyboard, anyway 7g is not bad as well.
Is it really worth it to sell 7g then replace with filco?

Maybe if you really prefer filco, but for me never think about it first.

I don't like cherry black keys.
Took me almost a month to get used to the keys then I realized that they were still too hard. IMO better than my old keyboard but can't win a good membrane keyboard at typing. I want cherry browns!!!!!
But Filco got no wristrest and the 7g has a very good wristrest. Typing without the wrist rest ain't comfortable due to the height of the keyboard.
I don't think I need NKRO.
Im wondering how would the non NKRO variant perform. Would I be able to press shift + w +a + r simultaneously or play O2 jam properly?
*
Thats why i am so poisoned by the filco leather wrist rest which i think is so important.

Anyway,i did like black switches because it is totally no click. Now when i type with clicky membrane keyboard, it feel so weird.

Well 6kRO via usb is 6 simultaneous key registers.

O2Jam requires 7 o_O;

So after spending that money on a nice keyboard, you discover 1 more key cannot register. So O2Jam won't be so good with such a keyboard.

Your gonna need NKRO for that doh.gif
Filco does have a armrest. it's a separate leather palm rest which they sell.

It's bound to be more comfortable than the plastic palm rest fitted onto the steelseries :/

My Ducky keyboard i am getting has a palm rest similar like the Filcos.
Anyway Filco, and Ducky NKROs only work when you use usb to ps2 adapter. So your keyboard will connect to your pc via PS2. If your motherboard has no PS2 interface, then your out of luck even if your keyboard supports it.
*
The palm rest is really a cool stuff.

6KRO should be sufficient to support as all games input except o2jam.

From the bar chart, ducky 9008 seems abit more popular than 7G.

Anyway, satisfied with my 7G.

@D.Sync
120wpm is fast enough already, i played the typing challenge in facebook average is about 90+ wpm only. 1 more thing i can tell you is i use normal keyboard and 7G to type, both my laptop membrane keyboard and 7G almost the same only, no make any different. Definitely better typing experience and feel nice but not really improve the wpm a lot.

Because mine is 7G which using mx black switches that totally no click, now hate to type with membrane keyboard a lot, very uncomfortable with it.

Sorry, didn't read the earlier posts;

Anyway, how will the keyboards be sold? COD or through retail shops?

YA, I wondering as well. Diatec itself will come into Malaysia or only will sell it online-ly through some distributor?

Just how fast can you guys type with a mech keyboard?
*
Mechanical keyboard cannot instantly improve your typing speed.
After you get use to it and actuate the typing force then will be much more faster.
Long period of typing is depends on how long you can concentrate your mind instead of your typing skill.

I tried before and my experience before is, the longer i try to type faster, the slower the speed, because can't concentrate on it and keep on do mistake.

If Razer is not doing something to solve this problem, i won't consider it into my buy list.
2KRO is really unacceptable for me.
Very basic requirement for fps, you holding W, then need strafe to either left or right, then is already 2 keys, then how about when you want reload, crouch, prone, sprint, check score list, shift weapon?

Lycosa was the first keyboard that let me can feel the delay of the keyboard response, don't want BlackWindow become the second 1.

True.

I personally am interested in BW partly due to its macro even though its a mechanical KB.

I for one hates playing O2Jam and who would want to press ZXC simultaneously anyway.  shakehead.gif
it still works around the ASWD cluster, just like all other "gaming" keyboards out there, so no worries.
*
Most of the keyboard at least is 6KRO of cause sufficient.

where did u see that?

Logitech G11 : 2KRO. Fails QA -Downarrow. Logitech refuses to talk about failure modes.
Logitech Gaming Keyboard G110: 2KRO Fails ZXC, MKL. Source.
Logitech G15V1: 2KRO Fails Rshift-RightArrow-UpArrow, Rctrl-DownArrow-LeftArrow Source
Logitech G15V2: 2KRO.
Logitech Illuminated Keyboard: 2KRO. Fails Lshift-W-Spacebar. No bunny jumping with this one! Source.
Microsoft Sidewinder X6 : 2KRO. Fails Ctrl-W-R. No reloading while crawling! Source.
Razer Black Widow (lighted and non-lighted): 2KRO. Fails ZXC. Well optimized around WASD/ESDF clusters. Not so much for arrow key users - any combo above 2 arrow keys fails. Source 1. Source 2 (note CTRL-AQ does work).
Razer Lycosa: 2KRO. Fails HJK but passes ASX. Source.
Saitek Eclipse: 2KRO. Fails QWA, LOP. Source.
SteelSeries 6Gv1: 2KRO. Fails QAS, WSD despite being advertised as 8KRO Source.
SteelSeries Merc Stealth: 2KRO. Fails ERT, DFG, CVB despite being advertised as 7KRO. Source.
*
I read that before also, those like G15 and x6, most of their problem fixed by anti-ghosting effect. Only keyboard that fail ZXC in the list is G110, i am not sure about this keyboard, never use before also. I remember got a picture there showing the anti-ghosting area right, most of the keys around wasd should be not affected.
therefore no problem found when really using it.
Lycosa is the only keyboard that make me notice the KRO issue.

Other than those gaming keyboard included in the list, most of the keyboard in the market is not using any macro button, connect the port converter then KRO problem is solved.

brand new review by madshrimps biggrin.gif
Here is the Steelseries 7G review for comparison

I'm not saying that NKRO is the must have feature, as there many other things to consider when deciding to get a keyboard. So all the facts are here, so decide for yourself what you would be ok with and at what price range  cool.gif

they conclude about the same thing also.
Lighter touch switches.
Tactile but non-clicky.
Missing of palm rest.
