im at melbourne
im using it naked(with SP) for more than 3 months and dun have any dust inside the screen..
but there will have some dusts that "stuck" at the side/edge(along the chrome) of the screen which is normal
*
thats good to hear. then SGS build are pretty solid compared to omnia 2
ahh melbourne. weather changes can be hecktik within a day over there. studying there bro?

I get what you mean now. I don't see anything stuck under the screen, maybe because the S-AMOLED display actually has no separation/space between touch sensor and display layer.

However, there is a bit of dust in the small narrow areas between screen and the chrome bezel - nothing serious, a quick rub with a PC keyboard cleaner brush clears things up fine.

thats great to hear then. i can let my SGS naked biggrin.gif

thats really good to hear. i guess samsung omnia material is cheaper then SGS, cuz i kept it naked since i used
i defense pro and wraped it, however the sides isnt covered. the next day the screen was invaded by dusts..

Added on October 28, 2010, 1:59 pm

ya know when u put in your pocket or just leaving it on the desk for longer period..
sometime dusts can get inside the screen from the sides.. ..it could be the lack of build of the phone..like the glue or the material...try googling it,...its pretty common.

haha.. yeah crazy ppl. But come to think of it, I might want to do this when the time comes all new phones sold in the market are way faster than SGS. Maybe not 1.6GHz, 1.3GHz is acceptable to me.. hehe

I'm using one of those. Pretty decent leather case I must say. Even the chrome part is protected. It also allows you to have full access to the touch screen. Some leather case like the one from PDair won't let you do so because the edge of the touch screen is blocked by the case itself. You'll have a hard time swiping down the taskbar.

look ma! just got my new toys. love the colors, but i think pink is definitely a no-no for me. probably use red for weekends, and black for work.. more subtle.

TeamWhiskey has got SGS Vibrant running at 1.6ghz stably... wonder if I should flash to 1.6ghz too... Doesn't seem to be very useful to me as my phone is already smooth as hell...

I wonder if it improves battery life
