just now i open my appman, it prompt me to update to maemo 5.

maemo is PR1.3, no ?

What version does it state?

wonder if your bulk purchase on class 10 will have ~10mb/sec..

ps : put the guide up on the first page in V8..hehehehehe...


check your version first.. system--settings--about product..

it should state 20.2010-36.2 for PR1.3..

if its already PR1.3..OMG,its PR1.4???heheheheheh

duh..that means u're still on PR1.2 my friend..the reason for the prompt update to Maemo 5 is because your current version is PR1.2..and the update is PR1.3...

tot PR1.4 already..hahahaha

supposedly u check the version first, then install..but heck!!just install it straight away..then u are on PR1.3... =)

Sometimes OTA update fail & you have to use the manual update.
Knowing the manual update method is very important because in some cases(fail OTA,messed up system files etc2) you can easily restore the phone with simple re-flash.

Manual flash is a godsend gift for all Nokia Internet Tablets.Better take time to try it.
I know plenty of other phone users who wants flasher tool like NIT.

there are pros and cons updating using both methods..

however, flashing manually is fail-safe..and you will not have any problems about apps at all as it'll wipe everything and start a fresh new life..lol..

sometimes updating via NSU or wifi, or PC SUITE will results in conflicts among apps as the dependencies is different from PR1.2 and PR1.3..certain apps still uses the PR1.2 dependencies..but some already upgrade with PR1.3 dependencies..

for instance, there are numerous reports about tweak flash version not working when updating PR1.3 through NSU or Wifi as it still uses PR1.2 dependencies..
