i was browsing in TMO, found a microSD benchmark test script..i'd thought of sharing this in lowyat..
the microSD benchmark test script will allow you to check your microSD read/write speed..this is a very handy script to know whether your microSD card is as fast as it's stated...and if its really class 10/class 6/class 4/class 2... i have attached the .sh script called sdbench.sh 0. download the attachment (sdbench.sh.txt) 1. rename it to "sdbench.sh" (be sure to untick "hide extensions for known file types". to do this, open My Computer --> Tools --> Folder Options --> View tab.) 2. then copy the script to the phone.. (i copied straight to /home/user/MyDocs/) 3. in xterm, "cd /home/user/MyDocs/" and enter (without the quotes). 4. type "sh sdbench.sh" and enter (without the quotes) 5. it'll display ".......please wait a few minutes" 6. depending on your microSD speed, and size..it'll take at least 2 minutes to display the result.. this is the result of my 4gb class4 results This post has been edited by one1002: Nov 3 2010, 07:48 PM Attached File(s)
sdbench.sh.txt ( 562bytes )

QUOTE(tabletennis @ Nov 3 2010, 08:55 PM) i was just asking la bro.. by default, only extras are enabled..you said u flashed both the firmware and emmc..so, it should be a fresh start and only extras are enabled..and you have to add extras-testing and extras-devel manually.... ok since u said like that, i assume both extra-testing and extra-devel are enabled.. in xterm.. 1. root 2. apt-get purge decoders-support ogg-support gstreamer0.10-ffmpeg gstreamer0.10-flv gstreamer0.10-musepack gstreamer0.10-rm gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad-extra (choose yes) 3. apt-get clean 4. apt-get update 5. apt-get install decoders-support |
