Highest is as posted earlier (by running CPUID in background, and play for longest 4.5 hours)

1. CPU - 89!
2. GPU - 79

I just realized i havent post any frame rate for Darksiders, it something between 50-60 FPS. Sometimes it drops to 40 plus, but that is still very smooth.

I finally completed the game. Game time reported that I spent 23 hours (but i play for 3-4 weeks! and the game didn't calculate how many times I died and replay some scene... brows.gif )

from the end scene, there will be sequel... i m looking forward for it

Oh thx! I just installed the game on my laptop haha...

Hmm, off topic but something's wrong with mine though... As GT335M should be similar to HD5650, I am thinking I should get frame rate like yours but instead I get only 40-50 and drops to 25-30 when slashing.... It's at 1366x768 resolution ><...

didnt do benchmarking but i can feel the 'slowness' in first person shooter game. like one second delay. guess ill just stick to the balance mode biggrin.gif and am lucky to not have any heating problem  biggrin.gif  Played for few hours the temp only gone up to max 70 only. and im in my room with a ceiling fan only + the sun shine straight into my room. not bad not bad  rclxms.gif

that's really nice, keep monitor for temp, IMO u ll get less problem if ur notebook is always this cool.

4820TG seems to be able to keep temp of GPU really cool... rclxms.gif

emm, i have VSync off, could that be the case? my 3dmark06 score improved to 7.6k after new GC driver from Acer, and i enable AI in Catalyst... not sure if it helps...

how is the temp compare to you?

Well I have VSync off as well... the CPU and GPU both around 80.. But i only played like 15-20 minutes, so can't really compare to yours...

Hmm but I installed the game in my partition drive instead, that shouldn't really affect the frame rate right?

Added on November 19, 2010, 10:37 amAnyways, I think it really varies.. just now i just played and it's around 30-40 when fighting... still ok actually... But sure is addictive the game LOL

Check for yourself if you need the additional features of Win7 Pro.

For me, it doesn't worth the money. Better save the money for something else. If you want to run things in WinXP (which I don't need), you can always download VMWare Player (free) and install WinXP into it.

You still can join Domain in Home Premium.

You can't backup to network, but I backup my data to external drive instead of network....

i just got this lappy 2 days ago and suddenly my ram usage goes up to 1gb in task manager.... read about the abr thingy and those erecovery

downloaded the 32 bit drivers and gonna download 64 bit as well... i wonder if the abr thingy r compatible with other win 7 version? eg, this lappy came with w7 home premium, then i wan to use the ultimate and use abr for those keys and certs.

is that possible?

1gb usage on 64 bit windows is quite normal isn't it?

My RAM usage is 1.2Gb. I think it's quite normal with Win7.

If I am not mistaken, you can't use cert you exported by ABR to install other Win7 version. So, if you exported the cert from a Win7 Home Premium, you cant use it to activate your Win 7 Ultimate.

firstly, using the ABR will only backup the existing key and cert of your already installed Win7 - which is Win7 Home Premium. this key and cert is only valid for Win7 Home Premium, no more, no less.

secondly, there's no need to be alarmed about the 'high' memory usage you see in the Win7 task manager. what you're seeing is Win7 (Vista too) SuperFetch in action. it loads your frequently used applications into memory, so that it will launch faster when you need to use it. for more into: http://www.osnews.com/story/21471/SuperFet..._it_Works_Myths

owh... so vista++ got superfetch... im not a vista++ fan since the usability on them is quite poor especially on the windows explorer

im thinking of reformatting this laptop as well. dunno how to say whether its fast or slow since loading certain application made my system hangs and very laggy

i also not used to the high ram usage especially on win 7 though. as far as i remember xp uses min of 100mb, vista at 500mb... i dunno about win 7 ram usage actually

what do experts say? format or just leave it?

my min ram usage = 1gb
my max ram usage = 1.5gb
