i've set my lappy to max power saver and the result is, my battery shows that 9hrs and 55mins remaining LOL...just use intel graphic,and shut all others apps that i won't really use....

@k-bkeat - so far no negatives from mine...temperature can increase high, as mine just 68ºC but it can reduce fast under 1min and return to normal temp about 47ºC...

Saw someone selling brand new unit at rm2449 here in LYN yesterday.

At ur desired price, why not just buy new one..

Ram you can always upgrade later..

I juz waitin my ram arrived. the 4gb should be enuf.

If i'm not mistaken,only window 7 x64 bit can support 4gb and more..window 7 x32 bit limit to 2gb only...
so please make sure got the right version..

It still shows as 3.68mb usable even with 64bit.

new ram surely will take some more watt, but the gain should be counter a little by less hardisk access... just my wishful thinking

nooo. i've upgrade to 4gb ram. the seal is broken. no 1 to 1 change i guess? =[[[ seriously. fml

using quiethdd, and change the plan to high performance, now no more lag while gaming.... seems hdd can access faster

it's 5400rpm - if 7200rpm, the battery probably won't last 6 - 8 hours.

you've probably read some online reviews about this model. a few of the reviews mentioned that that there's some flex on the keyboard and on the lid. for me, i don't really notice the keyboard flex, unless i really test it out. i've tried other acer models, and those keyboard flexes are really annoying - this one's ok . but as stated in my previous post a few pages back, one of my keys jumped out while i was typing. will be getting a warranty claim soon (waiting for parts)  .

disregarding the key that jumped out, i think the build is quite alright. lenovo/ibm is known for it's good build quality, so can't be compared heheh. but if you're into light gaming (and more on surfing), i'd suggest you get a cooler laptop. this one runs hot...and the built-in webcam sucks

good battery life with similar specs - afaik none at the moment . but good battery life with lower specs, probably Asus U45JC (8 cell battery).

but no one's stopping you from buying the 4820tg. if you like the battery life + price + looks, then consider the 'overkill' specs as an investment for future light games . go test it out at the store, because it will answer most of your questions (build quality, heat, lcd glare, keyboard flex, etc.).

wear the bunny ears in you avatar and no hot-blooded salesman will neglect you...

hmm, if you can find a shop that has the 4820tg on display (may not be possible now since many places out of stock), then you can try it out. the display model have been switched on for at least a few hours, so it can give you a general feel of it's heat (idle temperature, in an air-conditioned room). if you're daring enough, bring along a movie for a "test drive"....it should raise the temperature within minutes

@k-bkeat: if temperature and the spec seem overkill, try using ONLY intel GC. should meet your exact requirement for light gaming and surfing.

@k-bkeat: when not gaming, and using Intel GC only, i got like 40-48. others with 4820TG also reports about the same.

i m not entirely sure, but RAID usually used for hardisk mirroring, load balancing and stuff. it is not harmful, not no use for me, so i removed that...

i compared with Asus U35 before, another 13" notebook, but it's CPU is always above 50! so, i think the heat management in TimelineX is better.

for me this lappy very satisfy me..than a42jv..come get it..u'l not regret

ermm anyone here with 9cell lion battery ?

buy 1 for me rm2500. I will pay u and make review of it.
